@ryuouji Well, it could've been RELEASED in 81, but FILMED a few years earlier than that ( that was often the case with movies back then as I understand ).
i saw this movie on TV when I was a kid and I was T E R R I F I E D. been trying forever to figure out what the movie was. cannot wait to watch this again.
Always felt this sort of bordered on the same principles as "Little Shop of Horrors" (Someone presuming to be innocent getting a monster to do their dirty work)
This would be a kick ass remake if only they didnt butcher remakes.
@VisionofOrion well, not all remakes are awful. I mean, the movie you compared this movie to, "little shop of horrors" was way better than the 1960's one....granted the 1960's original was made in 2 days for a joke but still, the remake is much better known. Who knows, we can hope.
Likely because it featured a bunch of nudity they'd have to cut out, which would leave the movie kinda useless.... and possibly because it really isn't that bad a movie. ;)
i remember watching this movie when a kid... dang most kids from the 80's grow up with these kind of horror movies, nothing can beat 80's horror movies.
Love this movie :)

Holy Crap! I remember this scene, I saw this on TV when I was a kid, I remember the creepy kid saying "tralalag" or what ever he calls them

1981 and this kid is dressed pretty 70s-ish. Just look at those bellbottoms, the turtleneck and the bowl cut!

Love this movie. Used to have it on a two pack with this really awful 80s horror movie that I couldn't watch all the way through.

@BenBassPlayer84
The other movie was Hellgate. I have that two-pack.
I've only recently finally finished it and can safely say: I never will again.
Luckily, The Pit is awesome enough to make the whole thing worth it.

Cool movie. Shades of "Little Shop of Horrors" in it where a person's conplacence leads to the deaths of people in order to feed a creature

Why was this movie never featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000?

@16shogunelitegreen Please, in the name of God, if you do, don't make the characters not notice a twenty-foot hole in a clearing.
