Be careful dude. Those free standing pull up stations aren't all that stable for the kind of resistance you're doing. Those things are known to fail. For your own safety do them in a power rack.

Some experts say wide grip pull ups can be harmful to the rotator cuff. I personally do them wide grip and regular grip. I think it is fine when working with your bodyweight, but with that kind of weight I can see how wide grip could damage your shoulders. If your looking for more intensity try towel pull ups, that is hard.

actually, the more weight you work with, it increased your slow twitch muscle. It also thickens the walls of your hart and keeps the heart smaller vs that of a marathon runner.
More weight causes greater activation of the fast twitch muscle groups. I'm sure this guy can do 15+ bodyweight pullups. "feels like more of a workout" only because your slow twitch muscles fatigue last. You can get the same "pump" by using an assisted pullup machine and do 100 reps but it won't make you bigger or stronger.

Not really, the closer the grip the more it works your lower lats, the wider the grip the more it works your upper lats; granted if your grip is underhand it puts considerably more stress onto your biceps.
