@RottenRroses I don't think they are..well..actually..I think they are. I do remember a time I played Pokemon Gold on my GBA..and playing Oracle Of Ages on a GBA unlocked a hidden shop. So, yes its backwards compatible.

@PsychoLink5678 Thanks. There are two versions of the Game Boy Advance it seems. The Game Boy Advance and the Game Boy Advance SP. Have you used both? Can you recommend one over the other?

From the looks I prefer the more classic looking Game Boy Advance but the laptop design of the SP may be better to protect the screen from scratches. The hardware is identical, I suppose?

The GBA remakes like Super Mario Advance were great except for the added voice effects every time the character made an action. It was really annoying and Toad sounded like he was drunk.

the all-star version is better. the positions of everything is untouched and birdo doesn't speak, let alone mario and there is cherries instead of coins. they've even changed the notes of the music. in the all-stars version all they did was slow it down and change the instruments but the advance version changed the boss level music altogether

You know... I never really cared for Super Mario Bros. 2 all that much... I really sucked at that game and always died. And after I found out the game was a lie (Doki Doki Panic anyone?) I disliked it even more, I said aww man! I wasn't even playing the "REAL" Super Mario Bros. 2! But after seeing this... I think I want to play it now! Nintendo went back and fixed a lot of things to make it easier for gamers to pick up! Sadly this was the only Mario Advance game I hadn't played...
