  • Great video, very easy to follow

  • Nope, lost me on the last question, guess I have to go back further, multiplying fractions? you totally did something different on the last question than you did on the first couple....

  • @MrSunjester i got -42 over 20 which is half of you last answer of -21 over 20....

  • @MrSunjester should be -42 over 40, and then simplify to -21 over 20

  • wait nvm i qet it now thanks.!:D

  • on the last equation you qot me confused.!

    because you multiplyed the numbers different from the ones you did earlier so like what the fudqe bro..?-.-

  • okay i qot lost in the part where you check to see if you qot the answer riqht -.-

  • 35 PEOPLE TOOK A TEST AND FAILED AFTER WATCHING THIS

  • i find this video very hard to masterubate to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gainer2420 I find this comment so hard to laugh at !! sorry :)

  • Hi I was looking for a video that explains what algibra is like a sort of introduction to algibra,does anyone know if Khanacdemy has made one?or Sal if your reading this and have time to reply it would be much appreciated,also if anyone knows the exact name of the video,if there is one.I would like that aswell please :)

  • @MrMGD92 For starters: It's "algebra"... Well...you start off with pre-algebra, which is a preparation for it. There really isn't an intro to it... in like 6th grade you get math skills which is very similar to it...It is just using equations and numbers and letters (variables) replacing other characters...you are probably used to anything like: 8 x ?=80 In algebra, you say: 8x=80 Which means the same thing.

  • @awendy8 Thank you for replying I just like to have a simple idea of what stuff like this is as it makes it easiar for me to understand. :)

  • @MrMGD92 No problem...glad I could help :)

  • your a smart guy no lie

  • Eh Khan, why don't you publish a book, with pictures?

    A book that does not require batteries, and actually explains

    something well, might sell a lot of copies... I guess it is all about

    branding, huh?

  • wow. really? a 7 minute video for 1 simple problem like this? how fucking stupid are people these days? jesus fucking christ!! Its so simple. 5 times what number equals 20. I learned my multiplication table in 3rd grade.

  • @999N0t3str34k odviously , you dont know what a linear eqaution is , this video wasnt on that . just letting you know , solving a linear equation aljebraicly is different. and no you dont learn it in 3rd grade. Also if this was a video of "a simple problem " you need to know theres people that learn at a different pace and need the help and calling them dumb isnt helping so keep your mean comments to yourself. please

  • @ReinosoRosa algebraically *

  • @999N0t3str34k Don`t be so ignorant,this is what makes khanacdemy such a great teacher because he makes stuff easy to understand,I dn`t know anything about algebra and i`m gessing you diden`t know what this was about either if you did you woulden`t of clicked on the video and made that comment.

  • How many milliliters of a(n) 60% acid solution should we add to a(n) 90% acid solution to get 2,000 milliliters of a(n) 67.5% solution?

  • wao............... thank you so much. I am an MBA and I had to do this stuff after like 6 years and I had forgot this and was little embarrassed to ask this tiny level one this. But with magic I learnt. Wohooooo thank you so much

  • 34 X's are a Y.

  • i am not a hater but there so much haters

  • what do u mean

  • i hate math too man too

  • why do you have to multiply by the reciprical?

  • I'VE HATED MATH SINCE PRE K

  • @MsLolforever21 You might start loving it. "Speed maths- Multiplying without multiplying". Click on my username and check the vid. Cheers.

  • now it looks hat i hate math even more

  • satan invented algebra

  • wow i week of lessons in 7 minutes my teacher is a dumbass

  • Get a new mic!!

  • Is this on SATs and the state nyc test for 7th graders?

    TELL MEE ::O

  • @heyyitsmimihsu it is

  • Wow i could do this in my sleep

  • Sorry, Sal. No one on my street comes up to me and asks me math problems:DD

  • I appreciate this video 100 times more than I do with my College Algebra Instructor.

  • How come they don't stick lettuce on kfc snackers anymore?

    Also, math SUCKS! Thank you for helping me!

  • @CaptainPommby LOL!!

  • thanx, this helps me a lot..

  • @OlahOle what grade is that?

  • :The relativ atommasses are to handel (addition) with (g/mol=(x)*10^-36) for the exactly molecularmass, divide it by the number of atoms and verb they paralell to the exactly ratio you want. You can to addit the sames atoms before do the paralell verbs. Yes, first the addition.

    It is a kind of magic sure.

    Amazon.de sell an periodensystem with relative atommasses and more (study knowledge).

    I like the texas instrument calculators (not the cheapest.)

    For God, the earth and the people.

  • baddy

  • hey i just want to say thanks for this video, but can you help me with this question please help me here is one? 2y(4-x)=x/2 wherex=6 can you tell me how to do the steps i take the test 9/15/2011. thanks if you can

  • @MyJustme1990 substitute x with six.. And solve to find y.

  • Whoa i have this HUGE algebra test TOMORROW omg i need to study fast

  • sooooo hard

  • This guy sounds like my 6th grade math teacher. I was in 8th grade math

  • I don't have enough iq to understand al this algebra **** ._. x78-(xy)ab2x=23x(y8x)=1x-y so many rules

  • @kingboss9000 wanna be nasty with me???? u can do the puss, while i do the pooper

  • Very well explained I always use 6x=24 for an example. Divide 6 and 6 which is out then divide 6 into 24, which is 4, x=4.

  • I think its his cool voice ^_^

  • you made me understand this better O.o

  • do you have an elementary algebra....

  • For the last question I got - _42_ but when i checked it, it was right. So does that mean that both are right? 40

  • this makes my vagina swell up, as i finger my swetty shitty little ass hole

  • @sweetjuking69 you're nasty

  • @sweetjuking69 rofl

  • @Eragarev XD lolol

  • @Eragarev ah!ah!ah!ahhh! Ummmmmmmaahhhhaaauauauauaahahaha.

  • great job your video lessons helped me figure out a

    lot of math homework

  • I was good at math and going to take calculus in college after I graduated highschool, but due to unfortunate circumstances my college career had to be pushed back several years. Now I'm trying to go back and I can't even remember how to do this level of stuff....

    if anyone has recommendations for a quick way to review algebra/precal I'd appreciate it.

  • work this out

    9(47-Y)-Y=X

    if X = 273

    what does Y=?

  • @ThisHerbyBear 420?

  • @bigzinger1 15

  • @ThisHerbyBear its 15 i know you already said it but its quite easy how did @bigzinger1 get 4 lol

  • I love the way, you explained it and showed example of different equations.

  • @BonhommeZombie shouldn't it be "learned"?

  • THE SYSTEM IS GOOD, BUT FAILURE TO USE A MORE APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO PRIOR TO ISSUE AN APPROACH

  • @IVANJDMRS the yelling doesnt help either <.<

  • I hate when people type like what I just saw on the top comment....... :| Plus, that's a freaking reply to something we don't even know what they're talking about!! Piss off.

  • 32 people suck at math

  • isnt this fun?! isnt this exciting?! YES, YES IT IS!!! weuweuweuweu

  • XM./?

    SAFE DIAL

    SAFECRACKER

  • people who are poor in math are not detailed oriented.

  • @chrissline77 i'll assume thats based on nothing

  • @ThanksDoctorThoctor .........It's based on the fact that in order to be good in math you HAVE to pay attention to detail. Because one simple error, whether addition or subtraction somewhere in the equation makes the entire problem wrong.

    I believe that if you pay attention to detail it reflects in everything you do in life whether it be math or something else. Just my opinion.

  • thankkss, I have a math exam tommrow, I was a little fuzzy on this even tho we did it back in march, :p

  • @ShyGirl0777 sammee

  • Why don't you have any LINEAR ALGEBRA videos?

  • 5xY=20

    Yx5=20

    Yx5/5=20/5

    Y=4

    There is something he forgot to mention. If 5Y=20, and you want to make that statement true, then that means anything that happens to 5Y must also happen to 20. This seems simple, but for people that don't understand this simple step, they can really have a tough time with harder questions.

  • heyy

  • I got it! :D

    but why didn't the - 3/4 become positive?

    because from my teacher, she changed negative to positive when she switched them to the other side also.

    A reply would be greatly appreciated! :)

  • @MachiShupp How do you mean?

  • @MachiShupp

    lemme tell u this. ure teacher failes at teaching. although u do indeed switch the con to a pro, it wont be clear for the lesser math students. i add another step for anyone watching my work, so they can understand (watch the funny-looking brackets) ex.

    5xW=35

    Wx5=35

    {Wx5/5=35/5}

    W=35/5

    W=7

    Everything except the brackets was what i think your teacher taught u. the bracket you read can be Important because it explains SOOOOOOOOOOO much. it makes harder math easy to understand.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • Thanx man... this really helped. =)

  • your an awesome teacher

  • I listened to Crysis 2 intro music while watching this.

    Fit perfectly (Any epic music will).

  • @Mdude123456789

    Ur going to what grade¿?

    If u haven't learn it, trust me is wonna drive u crazy!!!!! especially wen u have 2 graph them, it's hard( well 4 me)

  • your so helpful thanxs khan

  • Algebra is kind of hard

  • @whisper58113 i agree but im going to learn it too :)

  • @AngeluaOssieia837 man your a genius

  • hÍhi_áNýónê_wÅñnÄ_chÁt_wÌth_mÊ_ï_fËÊl_sõ_lóNely_tÕDây♀

  • This is so easy and im in 7th grade!

  • my brain is burning in that equation

  • cool

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math. He is going to teach you Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let others know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

    Math will become very easy to understand

  • 31 people are ax=b's

  • do one on pedigree charts. thanks

  • been a while, I forgot what was the coefficients, how to solve an even more complicated linear equations and quadratic etc. this is a every good and fun way to recall thanks.

  • i failed math and try to learn through youtube~~

  • khan ftw!

  • we should probably build a temple for Mr.Khan and worship him. Our bible will be textbook, our practice will be solving some equations.

  • @MarvelsofaLifetime: simmer down bitch tits

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you . i love your videos and i love your program. God bless man thanks.

  • your the best man!

  • so easy i love math ^^

  • this guy is god!

  • DAAAAM UR AWESOME!!

  • Thanks!

  • this pre algebra kids in mid school do this !!! it's equations for everyday life,

  • This is just what i need, I needed to start from the very beginning of algebra, having very little experience in dealing with it as a whole.

  • thumbs up

  • Youtube. Helps you with your homework and gives you entertainment. I subbed and I got an A.

  • on the last one you used division, can you also use multiplication like on the second one? i got 35/40 if you divide by 5 you get 7/8 is that Correct?

  • @andrestnt 35/40 is equal to 7/8...both correct but 7/8 is simplified

  • I got -7m as well

  • i blew a fuse halfway through that video.

  • dear algebra you should stop trying to make me find your x she is not coming back

  • @marshalparshal LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Like this comment if he made your teacher sound like a dumbass

  • I am the same as u my is a heard heded teacher and my classmate is a hole

  • I got -7m......

  • does any1 knows the answer for 28-5m-11=17-12m

  • @minato12100 I got m=0

  • @minato12100

    m=0

  • great bro, its hard to believe ur from bangladesh,

  • lol i still hate math

  • as much as i dont like numbers... i think im getting the hang of it.

  • thanks you dont know how much you've helped me! i was freaking out about a test that i have tommorrow but now im at ease . thank you

  • 30 people are hill billys!

  • i love you

    well it it was the beginning of the 9th grade and i have forgotten almost everything about math. and we had our first major test there was 60 questions. and this test was the test of the whole year because if you failed this test you had to come back on the last day of school and take a 200 question problem and if you fail you fail the 9th grade. now i watched your videos for 1 week straight and i scored almost perfect with 1 wrong and was the only one who passed in my class.

  • - dis is boorinq

  • ughh too much noise.. i gotta come back. but i'm really sick of my college friends talking about their math class and i dont know shit lol i gotta brush up

  • WOW THE WAY U TEACH IS AWESOME!!!!!!!

    BEST OF LUCK FROM INDIA!!!!!

  • Why did he decide to multiply -3/4 by -4/3 at 2:48? He never explained where the number -4/3 came from.

  • @theboyme82 It is the reciprocal of -3/4, and so by multiplying -4/3 by -3/4, the coefficient in front of x becomes 1 (remember that the product of two negative numbers is a positive number).

  • You're like my shiny, golden, math Messiah or something. Thank you so much for making things so simple!

  • Algebra teaches important problem solving skills that you will need and use your whole life long.” Well, that’s what your teachers told you, isn’t it? Yes it is. And they are still saying that to students today. The truth about that statement is that it’s a crock of shit. The truth about Algebra is that it’s useless for just about everybody on earth.USELESS BULLSHIT

  • @5tonyvvvv you must really fail at math to say such a statement...gl at McDonalds

  • @5tonyvvvv

    You are actaully wrong there, take this example:

    1) When filling your car up with gas you can use a form of algebra. Lets say you only have $20.00 to spend on gas today and gas is $3.50 a gallon. How many gallons could you buy?

    Let x = # of gallons of gas

    3.50x=20.00

    x=5.71 gallons

    x = 6 Games

    I was planning to post 2 more examples, damned Youtube character limit.

  • @RyuBZ0 get a fuckin life,,like anyone does this..have u ever fucked a girl??

  • @5tonyvvvv I'm quite happy with my life, and no I may have not fucked a girl but I doubt you have if your studying linear equations.

    And I'm sure tons of people use linear equations, excluding yourself of course. If Algebra is so useless then why would it be taught? Retard

    @sixshooter500 Um... obviouslly I give a fuck if I'm talking about it. Algebra is not completly useless.
