@rAv3nXXX I believe i found it on a DT forum, then I used Audacity to cut the song just to the guitar solo. I think this is the one so i'll msg you the link. Cheers =D
@rAv3nXXX ahh, unfortunately I believe they original post's link no longer works. also it doesn't let me post links on this comment box but: go to google, type in "petrucciforum lines in the sand backing track" and click on the first link u see. maybe if you PM the original guy hopefully he can send it to u
Hit me up. Would like to hear what you can do along these lines. (Petrucci) With melody writing abilities, using YouTube to preview new talent. ((Serious inquisitions only)) THX!
@ArtPolo1990 MOOOORRE than enough. Sometimes I put the Master level at 9:00 o'clock just enough to let the other instruments be heard. Trust me this thing gets LOUD.
@TheHornet79 i agree, i mean it's too loud to crank up at guitar center without feeling like you need to turn down for other players to jam at the store lol. but i'm more concerned on it "cutting" through the mix in a band setting. i think if you give it some mids it should cut through IMO but you probably just have to test drive
@ArtPolo1990 Hm, i haven't used it to jam out with anyone besides piano but i think it should be good enough.the 10" speaker should be a big deal vs the 8" 20watt one. On the vid and normal home playing i think i only have it set at 10 watts or less (not sure) and the volume knob pretty much at 9 o'clock so that should give you an idea. i think it's loud enough to cut through the band and stage you can probably mic it. i guess it's hard for me to define "loud" since i play through a RK too
So can i actually make a good solo sound out of this amp? It definitelly sounds like it. I am seeling my old marshall MG and i am looking for an amp. Maybe this one or a tech 21 trademark
@topografer it depends on your taste i think. i like the sorta bluesy with dirt on it for my solos but that's just me. not really into that whole flanger/phaser metal thing. im a mesa guy and never played through a vox before and bough this when i tested it out so i guess that saids alot. i seem to dial in my tones quickly with this vox vs my mesa
hey man ... i would like to buy the amp ... please tell me : when you store 1 channel does it save with the effects ? so i wont have to activate the delay or what is selected , separately ! ( like ch 1 clean , ch 2 crunch, ch 3 lead+delay and so on ... tks !
@oaiaroz yep it can do that, it has like 3 modes. i think: preset, manual, and song. in the video i think i'm doing manual mode where i dial up the amp and use the footswitch to add OD. in preset mode it does what u want and when u step on switch 2 it dials up your settings.
@oaiaroz btw make sure you get the footswitch pedal though to do that and read the manual fully. like i'm still messing around with it but i think like if i'm in manual mode and try to go to my presets it won't work until i hold on a button, then it can. if u just stay in one mode all the time u should be fine. let me know if u have more questions
@bossemusik thanx, definately check out the amp bro if u get a chance, it's the best $235 purchase I ever made! (black friday coupon special @guitar center)
@sebmooc7 thanks man, for the solo, the first half i have it set to the default AC30 amp and i use the tap tempo on the amp for the delay, then for the 2nd half of the solo i step on the footswitch that added a little bit of the tube screamer (using the same ac30 settings, no changes). so in short everything u hear is from the amp, nice sound for a lil amp
@NeoKroxack thanks guys, i still have trouble on landing correct pitches on bends. kinda like my weakness so gotta work on those. btw what is the yamaha aes920? i tried looking into but can't find what it is.. as for the vt40+ i love it for the sound it puts out at the volumes, i think i have it only set on like 10 watts which my mesa can never sound that good at that low volume. u should def. check it the vox, i'm considering buying another one, all tube
.....pfff
