but maybe because Hitsu of Hitsugaya and Matsu of Matsumoto are the first syllables, that's why. Take "NaruSaku, NaruHina, SasuHina, SasuSaku, ShikaTema, NejiHina or NejiTen" for an example. ^^

The only thing is, if it's Hitsumoto/Matsugaya, it sounds more like a surname in Japan rather than calling name for a certain pairing ＞＜" But I'd like Hitsumoto/Matsugaya more than HitsuMatsu xD (actually, HitsuMoto appeals to me) :]

If you watch the Japanese with English subs, there's a bit at the end called shinigami cup. It's like a 30 second clip of randomness, for example, those two at Helath land =) it's not on all the episdoes though but i can't remember where it starts.
