  • Sounds like a disciple of Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum.Pretty fabulous.

  • Thumbs up if the had in the backround kinda looks like he is flicking the pianist off!! :D

  • I've red.. Peter... nerdo...?

  • wow! how can so many people repeat the same silly joke and still expect it to be funny?

  • dragonforce ?

  • he is so fast that you can not even see his fingers moving bro...

  • no guys hes going so fast u just cant see him move ;)

  • i wish he played more classical..

  • God damn, this is some superhuman stuff.

  • His musicianship, showmanship, technique is all remarkable. I hope he lives forever.

  • Bravo!!!

  • I love Peter Nero's work. He's a pretty nice guy. He leads the Philly Pops, and Peter Nero and the Philly Pops used to regularly come visit my high school to give lectures and classes for our band and choir. It was amazing - I'm so glad I went to that school!

  • I heard Peter Nero a year ago when I found an old used LP in Parque Rivadavia (I live in Buenos Aires). This LP was "Nero Goes Pops: An all-Gershwin program", with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, and a wonderful jazz rhythm section: George Duvivier on bass and Bobby Rosengarden on drums. Song list: Side 1 1.Rhapsody in Blue 2.Love is Here to Stay 3.Embreceable You Side 2 1.The Man I Love 2.They Can't Take That Away From Me 3.Bidin' My Time 4.I Got Rhythm (a great arrangemet)
  • About Nero Goes Pops. I love that. Have the same album. I can't get it in CD. I've searched and searched--you can download some of the other songs but you can't get that version of Rhapsody--which in my opinion is the absolute best I've ever heard.

  • Extraordinary, even by Nero's standards! I'm blown away! Not bad for a 74 year old!

    10+ stars.

  • He is a master. Check also this pianist from the Netherlands, who is 1 of my favorites : [ Hugo van Neck improvises on "I got Rhythm" ]

from 1'35 on it's filmed from above the keys.

There are also more video's from Hugo van Neck

  • sick!

  • Some of my favorite moments in radio as a DJ in the '60s and '70s was playing the hell out of all my Peter Nero records. Dennis

  • This performance is truly frozen in time.

  • True improviser, yes. I am going to watch a couple of the other takes you have put on utube.

  • thats crazy... how does he do that with no movement? his fingers must be supa stretchy :O

  • You, my friend, fail. Big time.

If you can read, only if you know how to, here comes your mystery solved:

IT'S A PHOTO! As in a still or motionless image. Got it now?

  • He was being sarcastic...

  • lol

  • :] hehe

  • he must be a humming bird of some kind.

  • wow how can he do that without moving!!!

    He's a God! he's not even moving!!!1!

  • @MagicAcer LOL

  • wa...too fast....can't see his single movement....hehehe....

  • hes so fast i cant see any of his movements!!!

  • wish i can do that, he didn't move a muscle and played fantastically

i can't believe that, how does he do it?

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

Very good man, very very good!!!

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I was surprised by that too! Totally unexpected~ gg

  • Ridiculous you say? A gross understatement. I've watched him play it on a few occasions, and it takes my breath away every time, along with everyone else in the audience. We literally JUMP out of our seats when he finishes it. THANK YOU for putting it on YouTube. No need to apologize for the sound on this cut, but I am looking forward to seeing it in full video with CD quality sound.
