  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  • good job with the instructions.

  • Could you please tell me what is the name of this song and who is performing it...?

    Thanks in forward!

  • step 1a file off stupid safety drop out nubs.

should also balance air pressure to front and rear.

I like to visually inspect for the injury and and match the tube to the injury so i know that i got the thorn or whatever punctured the tube, or if its a snakebite pinch to tell the rider to run higher pressure or lose weight.

  • Thank you!!!! Can you please do one for the back?

  • Quick and easy thanks

  • i just saw your viedo and i think your OLD..

just call me ALWAYSaNOOB--but really.. you make it seem so easy. Im glad i finally found this site. So i could see a friend that I have never met. It was a pleasure watching on how to fix a flat in what 3 min. ALWAYSaNOOB Jeff Fouty

  • can you do one for the back tire? i'm having a big hassle with the chains. -_-

  • nvm i fixed it

  • Great vid! Quick and to the point without cheating the repair (Using the powder, checking for alignment) I have a question for you. Tight tires on a 20 inch steel rim won't seat the bead properly. Any suggestions? Thanks again! 5 stars!

  • Sounds like you are dealing with a triple wall rim. Try wetting the bead with some soapy water, make sure the rim strip is not getting in the way, good luck.

  • Thanks, I'll give it a shot!

  • @POPPASHANGO Sorry for the late reply but yes, it helps to spray the bead with rubbing alcohol allowing it to slip into place while inflating.

  • @VulcanBikeWizard Thanks for the info! Knowledge is infinite so no problem with the wait!

  • I watched all the flat repair how-tos and yours was easily the best (though I personally didn't dig the music). Thanks for making the video and please make more--how about how to put on pedals or properly adjust a headset and seat? Those are other things beginners might be interested in.

  • Thanks for the comments, sorry you didn't like the music. I have been planning to make more repair vids on how to true a wheel, adjust deraillers, rebuilding hubs and bottom brackets and all the little things, even how to work a presta valve.

  • you remind me of andrew dice clay

but with bikes instead of jokes

  • I have heard that before, that's funny.

  • never use a compresser to fill a bike tyre plus decals on both sides are more commen than not look for the rotation arrow

  • gangsta service ;)

  • its not every day that u see the Fonz workin on a road bike. very amusing! kudos for having the courage to wear THAT style AND ride road bikes. ;)

    RIDE ON!

  • THAT LEATHER JACKET ROCKS MY FACE OFF! I got a flat doing a century in the middle of the desert and I calmed down after panicking and remembered this video. You saved my life.

  • Great instructional vid!

tossing the tube and the box is cool, too!

    Thanks!

  • Thanks Nak, it feels good to just chuck'em.

  • awesome video, got it right away

  • thanks for this vid. very usefull the idea with baby powder. but how about the second tyre backwards. how is to deal with the chain gear etc.?

  • I like to throw away the boxes and old tubes like this guy does. He makes it cool to fix a flat without any embarrassment on the road!

  • Thanks!! now I can fix my bike without the ridiculous service charge they do at my bike store.

  • Thankyou

    you are teather

  • you are my teacher

  • Good stuff--thanks, Pat. It's been a while since I've changed one out. Cheers--

  • why put it near the label, it doesnt matter

  • I agree it doesn't matter if you are a slacker and attention to detail is not important. That's what seperates me from a department store bike salesman. Go to a real bike shop and look at the new bikes on the rack and you will see the valve stems all line up with the tire labels. It's for a reason.

  • I got my tire changed! ^.^ Thank you so much for the help! I would have had so much trouble doing this without the video. The directions on the box don't really help and skip a couple steps ;p

  • never changed a tube before . . watched this vid first and got it changed in like 5 minutes with no problems at all. thanks!!!!!

  • That's what I like to hear!

  • Did someone make a clone of andrew dice clay?

  • whats up vw any new videos?

  • informative, no wasted breath. my only suggestion would be at the end of the video do a bullet point summery to refresh the viewer's memory since the tutorial goes by so quickly. thanks!

  • cool and helpful by the way your music tempo meshed with your tire repair nicely

  • Thanks for the great comment but I have a question. From your profile you have viewed 3 YouTube videos and have 0 visitors. I smell an inside job, you must know me or FLOUNDER. Have a great day! Please come again.

  • what i have watched tons of videos over the past few months. I have not posted any videos bcause i dont have anything worth posting yet i just bought a bike last month and i have been watching everthing bike related on u tube your video is cool bcause the music and bcause its helpful who is flounder?you dont look as pnoid as u sound. keep the instructive videos coming thanks.

  • thanks for taking the time, wife got a flat i patched it and couldnt fit the tire back on today, luuckily we were near a bike shop. I am going to practice.

  • Thanks a lot for showing how it's done. I've been frustrated in trying to change my bike's back tire. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off this time.

  • Cool video, It was like watching a thinner Andy Dice Clay changing a bike tire.

  • One more thing this guys deserves a 5 star rating that was helpful like I said before....Videos like this make youtube a great tool , Thanks Vulcan

  • I would like to give credit to "FLOUNDER" the band that plays the music in this video. Two guys Darryl (The DentMan jr.) bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals and Adam (The SkyWalker) Reisman, Master percussionist and drummer. These two masters have been my best freinds and writing music for 30 years now.

  • Good Job Bro , I'm impressed by your shop. I know your one of the best. Look at my name , you remember me click on the name bro and have a look. Keep up the good work video is very helpful Peace from Thailand,Mitch Master

  • This is great. I just filmed a friend of mine fixing a tire but it's not as thorough. Nicely done!! Thanks for posting this!

  • I want to thank everyone for the kind comments. I originally planned to make a whole series if bike repair vids but I don't have a cameraman and you really need to zoom in on many things.

  • Ahhh. Such help. Thanks a lot! Had to have a flat before Critical Mass...

  • Hey this is great, you should do more bike repair videos, nobody else has really done any good ones.

  • thanks man!

  • Nice guide, thanks

  • this guy sucks.

  • Damn.. I love you. Now I can go fix my tire!

  • I can do that faster

  • ha! ur like the fonze of bikes! rock on that was stealth!

    (Nicely equiped shop!)
