  • stfu about Street Fighter.

We all know this is better so stop whining

  • This is just the game to get me off of SSF4 @_@

  • Wasn't Nu removed from the sequel?

  • @Falconsoulchild Not entirely. She got a rebalance (Yay for a few close range options, like, 2 of them ) but if you use Unlimited Lambda, it's really just Nu.

  • God 13 is such a good character....

  • litchi's moaning...

  • Amazing! I have to learn how to play Nu like that...

  • why does Nu uses her barrier crush so early?

  • @plaxcaster

Its most likely to keep the distant between Litchi and Nu

If nu gets in a combo because of her low health she loses a lot of health; So to keep that from happening you have to try to keep the opponent far; also lot of attack Nu is longdistant which need good calculation of how the opponent work which meas being far away will help control the opponents movement

  • to keep from getting trapped in that corner thats the last place you wanna end up against Litchi

  • @plaxcaster I think you're only allowed to ask that if she loses because of it, haha.

  • Damn they played a mean V

  • This Goryus spends a considerable amount of time on melee attacks, at least that's a change from the other v-13 spammers.

  • im liking the fighting style of boobie-lady, when i get this i may have to use her to help compliment my taokaka

  • I'm far from the skill level of these people, and as such, my opponents have never been at this level either. But I have found that the best defense against V-13 is a GOOD FUCKING OFFENSE

You get on her face and you do your best to stay there

The moment people give her distance, they get trapped into having to defend until they are inevitably hit and comboed

  • I play Nu and that's about the only time I ever lose. >_>

If anyone backs off it gives me space to zone and move. If they rush in and keep pressure, all I can do is barrier burst (once only) or block and hope for an opening that I'm too unskilled to see. xD

  • Being cornered is Nu's worse weakness. I play her too and I still have to work on her defense. Hate playing online with lag though. *sighs*

    You play PS3 or 360?

  • Yeah, but unlike dhalsim from street fighter, V-13 can actually fight up close pretty damn good.

  • Dhalsim is a fuckin' monster up close. He actually has some very nasty combos, though his lack of speed can make tthem pretty tricky to connect with.

  • I use tager and Jin. And yes nu is extremely cheap. Add me on xbl and we can play: mrplow92

  • HahAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHhhhh, dangly parts.

  • Nu is only overpowered in low level fights.

In terms of high level play, Nu becomes a rounded character. Her mix-up is easy to predict and stop with some skilled blocking, all she really has going is range, which many other characters have easy methods for stopping, such as Tagers sledge, Arakunes field position reversal, even a goddamn ice car. It can be hard at first finding methods and prediction skills to beat Nu, but once you learn the basic pattern, it becomes apparent how easy it is.

  • You also do realise Nu's low forward C can interupt sledge and leave him vulnerable to a gravity well, move away from Arakune using field shift, and of corse as for Jins ice car neutral C can hit the guy if he does one on the ground, or it can lose all it's progress with a gravity well or even just neutral D right?

  • Sledge passes through all projectiles, as well as his forward A, which greatly reduces the effectiveness of Nu's range. She can only interrup with the forward C at close range, and Tager has much better close-up options than Sledge. His power combined with Nu's lack of health means that a close-range fight is usually a very bad idea for Nu. Sure, she can easily combo him, but he can wipe out her health bar in an instant.

As for the other characters, I don't play them, so I wouldn't know.

  • Unfortunaly it is not a good way for him to advance on Nu because a pro Nu would just wait until the protection is gone and sword storm him while in recovery time, or as I have stated befor use 3 C which is her anti-low move which quickly interupts Tagers Sledge and is valnerable to a follow-up Gravity Well. Her C's are really good against many incoming attack and don't forget her Act Parser move (aka teleport move). Not trying to sound rude but Tager is a very bad match-up against Nu.

  • One Gigantic Tager Driver takes out half of Nu's health, literally. If Nu tries for a mid-close range D attack, Tager's forward A or Sledge will likely go through and get a hit in. Against Tager, the only way for Nu to not get obliterated in about 10 seconds is to zone, and then all Tager has to do is stay sharp on his defence while advancing.

I play only Tager, and I trash Nus all the time. It's a very easy match-up.

  • By any chance your not working that Drive move into combos are you? Because by doing that your risking a True Nu player who isn't just going automatic and knows how to tech out o that and there goes half your heat. Not claiming I am one but as a Nu player most Tagers I encounter using your stradegy I end up interupting gravity welling and then swamping them with swords. I'm sorry but I am not convinced that Tager is a good match-up against Nu.

  • When did I say what my strategy is? Tager has some very under-rated air combos that can't be teched out of.

  • Sorry this is kind of late of a responce anywho, basically I was refering to in general for stradegy. Sadly I hardly ever see Tagers trying to do air combo's because of his huge hit box. I'm sure the combo itself is plenty good the problem is that there are alot of characters with good anti-air melees like Ragna and of corse Nu, Inferno Divider for example and of corse for Nu when I see a tager going air normally I just shoot him and either hit or push him back.

  • If Nu isn't nurfed in the next game, I'm burning down Arc System Works...

  • ...Trust me its not Nu. Its cause you suck. shes a zoning character, thats what shes suposed to do. Stop whining.

  • @KirbyOnCronic arc system said that nu will be more balanced in BB continuum shift, and also some of her attacks will be changed to avoid those extremely brutal combinations that make her challenging to fight

  • What a dumbass. You're going to wait until you're almost dead to barrier? 5:05

  • beautiful game love that v -13-

  • If he had done a 4 winds at 4:58 he would'v won :P

I find it easyer to win against Nu by using my QCB "B" a lot, it allows me to get close to her easyly and fast while keeping my staff in her face, helps a lot.

  • lichi is god tier u fkkn noob

  • yeah but fuck her! lol. She is sooo good its annoying as hell. I hate her lol

  • boob mind games ftw?

  • Lichi is only high mid.

Still makes her one of the best characters in the game tho...

  • uguu~ not so ruff v-13-chan

  • at 0:58 does nu say 'don't let him fall'? i've always wondered that.

  • everything litchi does is sexual lol

i need to get this game so that i can projectile spam with nu though

  • Boobie lady.

  • Damn, that Litchi was so close.

  • She didn't even win one single round :p

  • amazing quality

  • this game is fucking insane

  • The reason I hated SF4 is because players are almost forced to be cheap shots. The game has almost no technique. Blazblue is far superior in terms of gameplay plus it just looks that much better graphically.

  • ... what?

  • theres no such thing as cheap in a fighting game. Only scrubs say that... play2win

  • yep

  • WTF is Cheap? I just curb stomp stupid scrubs and thats what they call me, wtf does that mean!!!

"OMG u no how to play, u gots to be cheating." Fucking dumbasses.

  • so u use hakumen?

  • Noel is my main, and Litchi, Arakune and Tager are my subs. but i basically can use everyone but Hakumen and Taokaka (yes i play and can win with Carl.)

And btw, how is hakumen 'cheap'. He is one of the worst characters in the game. All you have to do is rush down at the beginning and bait d he dies for free. Ya his combos are good, but just learn to block and its basically free wins.

  • never said hakumen was cheap. since i actually main him and understand all his movesets. yeah he starts out like a train and slow, but eventually he picks up steam and completely owns.

  • in terms of technique there are far more gameplay mechanics in blazblue such as air dash and IAD but it requires less thought to a strategy than SF4.

  • @pspboy7 what kinda game do you want then? a game that does the same damage no matter what technique you use? No matter what the game is they'll always be a best option type of attack. Besides blazblue does have skills you should try it out before anything if you haven't already considering your post was 10months ago.

  • @pspboy7 your just a nub at sf4...

  • @Daren2007 when i read "the game has almost no technique" i really lmao. probably he's one of those players that couldnt get past trial #5 then played blazblue adn saw that you could mash buttons and look like a pro.

  • @Otahell999 try playing blazblue before you go off throwing judgements like that. im not gonna go as far as to bash on SF4 bcuz its obviously made its name as a good fighting game but i can assure you blazblue isnt a spam and look good kind of game.

  • @pspboy7 totally opinion based

  • @pspboy7 all your opinoin but ur wrong in most of it.....

  • @pspboy7 Completely true. The characters in that game, while, they have some creativity aspect, offer no real unique play. Unique moves, but it's just the same stuff over and over with a different visual each time.

  • holy shit, the Litchi could've won that last round.

     P.S. Nu is a fag X_x

  • Last Evo didn't have a single Sagat in the top 8. I know he's good, but beyond a couple of 7-3 matchups against Vega and Dan, he's actually fairly balanced.

Nu is grossly overused both online and at tournaments. Not saying she is overpowered, but she is too powerful for how incredibly easy she is to use.

  • Nu is totally broken, but the most underrated character in the world of BlazBlue seems to be able to kick her ass -- Tao.

  • wow lol i never see a sagat player..... all i see are mutha fuckin kens...........every time i play...

  • Arite, sorry for causing any personal flaming. I didn't mean the getting owned part. Although the reason there aren't many Dans is because he is a joke character. His stamina is rather ok but his attack range is horrible. Not only that but recently I figured out that his ultra can be blocked by a focus... a FOCUS! I've yet to see many sakuras so I can agree with you on that. I, myself main an el fuerte.

  • Say that again, I dare you to say it. Did you only say it because you got owned by hard tiger uppercut / shoryuken spamming sagats and kens online?

V-13 is obviously broken. You may say that she has horrible defense but look at SF2 and Akuma. It needed such a major nerf in the remake and it still remained one of the top tier characters. His flaws and strengths? The same thing that V-13 has. Strong keep away game and low stamina.

  • Akuma's strength in SF2 (HDR) isn't JUST a long range game. That's probably the weakest aspect. The problem is that practically no one in the game has anything they can do vs air fireball crossups, and akuma can mix up for over half life off of one, blocked or not.

Akuma doesn't even have nu's close range weakness, with his 100% invulnerable and 100% safe lp dragon punch.

Nu doesn't even BEGIN to compare to Akuma in terms of being broken. Nu's just very, very good.

  • @Pandaman64 still broken at S tier

  • @VCfenix I still disagree. There are characters that can fight even with her. She's the best in the game, and a pretty dumb character, glad they nerfed her in BBCS, but by no means broken.

  • @Pandaman64 nah S tier to me is broken

  • @VCfenix Broken to me is unbeatable. See: ST akuma, SF3 gill, KOF11 shion. If the player knows what they're doing with those characters, you can't win. Period. They are all banned in tourney play because of it.

in comparison, V-11 is hard to beat. Not impossible, just hard. Doesn't matter though since we have BB:CS2 now.

  • that Nu player is beeeast. all the others just spam her projectiles but that one is close and long range.

  • V-13 is cheap. You cant even attack her.

  • that's the point of running away and shooting.... not to get hit. a good nu succeeds at this, bad nus get hit and die.

  • could not make sense of the BB so early in the round until I saw the tremendous train he ran by the end. he made it work. Nu's got such terrible D and Litchi is a beast with corner combos. cheap is never the word to use btw.

  • i hate v-13.... easy to use but feel so cheap...... and it totally sucks MAJOR ASS when you fight a good v-13 player. they are just soooooo damn annoying. it really is no fun playing as or fighter her

  • she pretty much kills the fun out of the game, she clearly broken character lets hope they fix her. all nu i play just run away and spam drive

  • I agree.

  • Those are the easiest ones.

  • Yeah I was expecting the Tsubame at 4:55 as well... coulda won him the round.

  • waer?

  • Why didn't Litchi use Four Winds after the throw @ 4:55?

  • Isn't Four Winds Shishin? Did you mean Tsubame, her DP?

  • Yeah, I meant the DP

  • Here's the weird part.... Sometimes, Litchi says "Four Winds" when you do the Tsubame. So i can see where the confusion would be. Part of me thinks that it is some sort of glitch that causes her to say the wrong line when she does the move, but still, it's no big deal.

  • She is the technical final boss since the story circles around her for the most part. Other characters have other branches though, Li is looking for Arakune for instance.

Now Ragna is the true boss of the game, but he is only available in Score attack (right?) and he is in unlimited mode.

  • I'd like to see players like Goryus play players like Fio or Inoue, wonder how it'd turn out

  • Nu beat Lichi down. Great video. BB FTW!

  • play to win.

  • damn, this looks like guilty gear

  • This was made by the same company that made GG

  • It's made by the same people and is supposedly it's spiritual successor.

  • Internet battles :P

Just go play online against each other eh?

  • Terrible designs my ass. Lets see you come up with better characters.

  • Like you can do anything better.

  • Well throw down, let's see you come up with something better, if not, then you're in no jurisdiction to call these designs "terrible."

  • You don't have to be a chef to know when food tastes terrible.

  • That's a bad argument.

  • hey this game looks like a good amount of fun once I try my best to ignore the talking and focus just on the action.

  • You can switch the horrible english to japanese and keep the english text

  • But this is Japanese and I'm still a bit annoyed. Too much speaking going on for my taste.

  • Mute the SE options if you're that annoyed...if possible. But that would be a bad thing considering you need sound feedback in fighting games.

  • This game looks pretty =P

  • That song sounds like the exact same one from guilty gearXX...

  • Its the same composer

  • holy shit am I the only one who noticed that the 1st stage looks a bit like Remy's stage in street fighter 3rd stike?

  • You're probably one of those who tried picking up V-13 and failed miserably huh.

  • qq

all is fair in love and war... and 1v1 fighters

  • The game is "easier" to pick up than GG, but it'll still take some time to learn.

  • ples salacht yuor charectar

  • dont ya just love Japenese, speaking in English for games such as blazblue. I love em people.

  • does n e one no how this game plays compared to GG? is this jus GG with new characters cuz thats what it seems like...dont get me wrong im still getting it but im curious

  • its a slower and easier version of GG

  • it is a bit slower because of the wider screen bit this is nowhere near easier. its not something you can just master in a day especially if you wanted to master carl

  • its not that because of the wider screen, the games input is slower compared to GG, and overall game is also easier to pick up and play compare to GG...

Besides mastering a character always take some dedication, but it doesn't change the fact that it still feels easier to pick up and play. Comboing and everything in this game is a lot easier then GG, that is for sure.

  • i take it that your a game master of GG. I tryed playing GG, but it seems that i can't get use to it. Probably cuz i'm too late with all the GG fan fest. ^^

  • "4 weeks to master" Smells like BS, looks like BS, must be BS.

  • Joeirl: You can't "master" any GG character in 4 weeks. I guess you learned how to do his specials, a few low end combo's, and you call that "mastering a character". "Master" means you know every matchup, most high end combos, get the best damage each opening, and would be competitive in high level tourney's.

    I'll explain:

Matchup's- To learn how to fight a specific character, you have to play someone highly skilled w/ their char. numerous times. This must be done for the whole cast.

  • Combo's: You need to know what combo's work on which character and in which location.

    Ky combo's:

    Type: 2D SVT

    Vs Millia 2D>SVT>delayed LJ>6P>2HS>JC>S>JC>S>HS>VT>delayed LJ (can 222HS)

    Vs Pote: 2D>HS stun FRC>S>2HS>GS>S>2HS>HSVT>LJ>2P>S>2HS>HSVT>LJ (163 dmg)

    Type: 2D LS

    Vs Pote: 2D>LS>S>6P>2HS>GS>S>2HS>HSVT>LJ

There are some combo's that work on multiple characters (universal), but you mastered Ky so you must know when to use the different one's in each matchup.

  • Its funny because i can already do those combos you listed pretty consistant, playing a computer or person. Playing against people in arcades that still carry the game. Sure even if i could, i doubt i could beat those who've been playing for years. But when i say master i mean, knowing when and where to use certain moves and combinations, as well as pulling them off consistantly. Truth is you've never seen me play, so don't go making assumptions.

And also, don't be so arrogant.

  • Comment removed

  • Like I already said, it's a small fraction of what you need to know and now you are trying to change your story

You need to know the combo variations to use against the entire cast and have experience playing against high skilled players of the entire cast to "master" a character. You didn't master anything with 4 weeks in training mode kid.

You are a child that doesn't want to admit you are wrong. One more reply and then I'm done busting you up.

  • Pro example: Let's take Combofiend's C. Viper. He is considered one of the best SF4 players and has been playing for ALOT more than 4 weeks (and not just in training mode), but at Devastation he lost to low tier El Fuerte. Why? He didn't know the matchup! He admitted that he needs to work on it. He wouldn't say he mastered C. Viper even though he is much closer to it than you are to Ky. By your logic, I go to the boxing gym, learn how to hit the bag, never spar, but I'm a master boxer

  • I ran out of room.. so 3rd and final post it is.

I hate to repeat myself, but it doesn't seem to be getting through to you. No one said you can't learn some combo's in 4 weeks. I said you can't master a GG character. Refer to my boxing analogy again if need be.

I'd like to point out the irony of you calling me arrogant, when you claim to have mastered a character in 4 weeks using only training mode.

That's arrogance and ignorance rolled into one.

  • @DnBWraith

I realize I'm responding to a year-old comment, but your post(s) got me thinking. What if those 4 weeks were spent in Training mode with the CPU set on the highest difficulty, and one could consistently beat the opponent in any matchup. Would that be considered mastery of said character?? (At least basic mastery, because unlike a CPU, the human element is always unpredictable.)

  • The combo's I showed you are a VERY small fraction of what you need to know to have mastered a character.

I doubt you know all the necessary combo's, but even then...

3 hours a night, for 4 weeks, in training mode won't "master" any character. You have to play others that are highly skilled.

The better the competition, the more you play, the better you get.

I'm sorry you thought you "mastered' a character in 4 weeks.

  • pretty much. not a huge difference when i played it in the arcade. it feels like the same game and yet its not, that being said its a good thing

  • Stuff happens fast in Guilty Gear, MVC2 and TvC, yet those are all great fighting games too (well, tvc is debatable). Just because you're not familiar with the game does in no way discredit it from being a fun and solid fighting game.

Ps. SF4 does not suck, to whoever posted that.

  • TvC, garbaj

  • I like fighting games.

  • Street Fighter sucks, this doesn't.

  • Why would I bother trying?

    Give me a reason to.

  • you have no idea what you are talking about

  • Yeah I like watching all fighting games, I've never put my hands on this game but I love wathcing the pros.

  • You're too slow. Everything v13 or Litchi do is pretty obvious, it's just fast. You CAN react on twitch, but if you're going to play any fighting game on a high level you're going to need to learn how to predict your opponent.

  • agreed, stuff is happening so FAST. I don't get what's going on here.

  • good comeback in the end

  • I don't see how this looks boring at all.

Looks more interesting that SF4 at least

  • The fighting is more intense than SF 4.

Watching it might be boring for some but for us , who's watching it to learn or witness some insane moves, is not boring at all.

  • your mom looks terrible.

  • more like Laitchi FAILING

  • with me being a ragna player i wonder i wonder how will i counter V-13 see like volture in spider-man

  • everyone is a Ragna player

  • no everyone is not

  • Its supposed to be rebel 1 not "level one." There is US console footage that already proves it.
