This is a discovery for me. Great post almost the Best I've seen of Joan Collins. She has received a bad rap as well........well what do you expect if you let people film you screwing a group guys all at one time
Hum now there's goes and idea....I'll have to talk to my Poontang manager about that idea.
I think this is a searingly honest film and it is so sad the powers that be in Hollywood simply did not and still do not know how to deal with the creative genius that was Anthony Newley. They saw, and still see, his creativity in terms of black and whiteand they have not seen the rich, vibrant and subtle colours that made up his artistry.
There are good vanity films (Fosse's "All That Jazz," Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories") and bad vanity films, and this is one to stay away from, IMHO. It's Anthony Newley doing bad Fellini.
I went to see this film when it first came out. I was a big fan of Tony, but I felt a little let down. It is about him and very honest. Ought to be revisited, but never see it any more. Just like most of his films. All dust now, one sadly supposes.

Love this! Comedia meets the sex revolution. Nice strong trashy smell of the 60's and the possibility that art could change the universe.
