Nice that Tom's Ave Maria solo is on 2 other albums besides 3 of Libera's:
1. "Classical 2010" - Compilation of many classical artists - Pavarotti, Callas, Fray, Domingo, etc. and wait for it . . . Cully, the only one to represent the choir on this CD.
2. "Choirboys From Heaven" - 4 choirs - King's College, Vienna Boys, The American Boychoir, and Libera. In addition to Ave Maria, Tom solos on You Were There, leads Air, and duets with Michael on Going Home.
Tom, What Words can Thank You enough; NONE! Four and a half minutes of "Other World's Beauteous Promise. And You still had a note or two left in you. Good God!
ASOLUTELY AMAZING ... Tom has left a stunning legacy to the Libera library and the new lead voices have a bar set high... Mind you all the lead voices from Stephen, Big Ben, Michael and Tom have left a lasting impresiion in and on my heart ... ABSOLUTELY SUPERB all of 'em... *sighs* :0)x
Happy 17th Birthday, Tom! Altho' you may be feeling the bittersweet pangs of treble transition, be comforted in knowing your world-wide fan base wish you the best in whatever you decide to do. @pigu0606 I absolutely agree. Tom Cully is no longer with Libera but his pure and haunting voice as he sings Ave Maria (Caccini) remains forever! That's their gift to mankind!
Does anyone know where I can find the correct sheet music for this? In this key, the key of C. Everything I have found for voice is in the key of G major, and I don't feel like transposing the entire piece, lest I make a mistake. Also, I cannot find one with the intro, before the solo. Help would be highly appreciated.

How sad it is that there seems to be no video available of Tom singing this setting of the Ave Maria which, in my view, is one of the most beautiful of his many solos. The purity and beauty of his voice is breathtaking.
unfortunately I stumbled on to the Libera website about a year ago, and wish I had tuned in to them years before. They all are so amazing- each song they sing, each note, is like a blessing to all of us. When I get stressed, or am having a rough day, Libera pulls me right out of the junk. Bless 'em all !!!
In my opinion, the boys should still sing when they grow up because you don't have a gift then suddenly lose it. You either have it or you don't and these boys have it. They should persue singing and not let it stop them just because they're not apart of libera anymore.
It amazes me that people lose their minds over these boys and act like the world is coming to an end when they stop singing in Libera, yet there are so many others out there who are light years better and no one bothers to give them a second glance. Check out Heldur Harry Põlda . Yeah he hasnt been exploited as a teenyboppers heart-throb crush...but if you are really into the music and not the beauty contest...............
@expostfactum I just came across with this guys, Caccini is my favor Ave Mara, I have heard many performance from adults, and I just heard the Heldur version, those versions have a touch of maturity is true, but you have to undestand the magic of this one is the lighting and texture effect of the infantile well tuned voice, no performance I have heard before had this texture, this crispy or cristalize nature, it is unique to this version so far.......
@expostfactum Checked him out, not even close. And I'm not biased, I just learned what Libera was this week. Polda was incredibly pitchy around 1:54 and on... sometimes the more popular singers are indeed better. Simply for the fact that to become part of a group that's been around 20 plus years, you have to be perfect.
@TheNomader1 I know Libera very well....they arent near as good as people think they are. 20 years is nothing to the choirs that surround them who have been around for hundreds of years. Now the quality of Libera singing is not near as good as they were 10 yrs ago and before the video "eye candy" sales tactic took over for them.
We get it. You don't like them and you don't rate them. That being the case perhaps you could explain why you seem so fixated on hanging round their videos and posting negative comments. It's fine that you don't like them; it's all about personal preference. But to be honest it's a comes across that you are a bit sad posting this stuff on videos of a boys choir.
@andyrjs what is sad is that you cant even read how long ago my comment was and that all i was doing was answering someone elses comment who just now saw it. Is it my fault that people are commenting about something from 4 months ago and it is at the top of the page? I think you should think about yourself and what "sad" really is. Your foolishness is how I answer to your idea of my "fixation and hanging around"....Dont ask questions if you arent willing to suffer the truth.
I asked no question, but your dislike for the group is palpable. It is sad that people who don't like something feel compelled to post comments on YouTube. There is much music I dislike but I don't feel the need to post comments about it.
And with regard to you answering a posters question, I suggest you read his/her comment again. They didn't ask you anything they were disagreeing with you!
Just to clarify my previous post, it was a rhetorical question - I didn't require an answer as to why you feel the need to post negative comments on Libera videos.
By the way Denis, I think it is great as is your channel ;)
@expostfactum Thank you for directing me to that video....you were not kidding, were you? I watched several of their videos, and I still have the goose bumps! i hope to hear more and more!!! Thanks again, and ~peace~

Simply the best, clearest and most beautiful version I have ever heard. Thank you Tom Cully, Robert Prizeman and LIBERA.

@expostfactum
Move on

@andyrjs what is sad is that you cant even read how long ago my comment was and that all i was doing was answering someone elses comment who just now saw it. Is it my fault that people are commenting about something from 4 months ago and it is at the top of the page? I think you should think about yourself and what "sad" really is. Your foolishness is how I answer to your idea of my "fixation and hanging around"....Dont ask questions if you arent willing to suffer the truth.

@expostfactum

@expostfactum
Just to clarify my previous post, it was a rhetorical question - I didn't require an answer as to why you feel the need to post negative comments on Libera videos.
By the way Denis, I think it is great as is your channel ;)

this song is very grace full and the kids look so adorable. how old is tom? It's so amazing how tom hits high notes without sounding terrible.

I'm not a very religious person, but even I can't help having some kind of spiritual meditation experience. Keep it up kids.

@jtaforJesus you should listen to the girls choir version that is posted below the video....they blow Libera out of the water.
