@aznpidgeon234 No. It missed timing since shien ended the chain started by the declaration of attack. you can activate book of moon after that chain ended but not d prison.

I was wondering what  would happen lets say a grand mole attacks into a facedown ryko, so the ryko is flipped in sub-phase 2, but moles effect doesnt happen until sub-phase 3. would the effect of ryko not apply because the battle has not reached to sub-phase 6?

Can you chain from hand? say my oppenent summons. I chain BTH, he chains book of moon from his hand? Is that legal?

Yes but only because Book of Moon is a quickplay spell. You cannot chain a card from your hand unless it is a quickplay spell or unless it specifically says "When your opponent does so and so" or "When so and so happens" or "After so and so happens" for example Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord's effect says "After a Counter Trap Card you control negates the activation of an opponent's card(s) or effect(s), you can Special Summon this card from your hand."

you can dprison, solemn, mirror force. you activate dprison on the attacking monster they chain solemn and it resolves. you then have another opportunity to atcivate cards like mirror force.

@TeamPurplePanda i dont remember. i think a judge told me that once. when my opponent use malevolent catastrophe to my attack i seven tooled it and then after it resolved he activated another malevolent catastrophe and a judge confirmed it. i think thats how it went. also i read the ruling on ehren and it said that the flip effect will resolve. based on the substeps, its not suppose to. can you explain to me what the ruling is?

@stun279 I think the judge is wrong on the Maatrophe. And as for Ehren, the Ryo will flip and be kick back to deck in Sub 2. But Ryko's effect will still go off even it is not on field in step 6.l

grand mole's effect says that it activates "at the start of the damage step" so wouldn't it bounce back the monster without it flipping up?

@mashidroid he's not chaining the book of moon to solemn. he's starting a new chain in the "before damage step" step that he was talking about. so in this new chain he can activate book of moon or enemy controller

@mashidroid u hafta d-prison when they declare an attack, so once thats solemn, u proceed to the step known as "before damage step", and in that stage, you can activate some quick plays such as book of moon so yea it is legal
