With the exception of Patti, and only b/cos I prefer Judy Garland (or Eva Cassidy)'s version of Over the Rainbow,and she is not really very well know in the UK compared with the others, I agree with the choices but would have chosen different songs for Barbra and Maria. And remember that these are meant to be North American contemporary singers :)

Barbra Streisand has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in my entire life. Her voice is like butter. When she sings, it's like God is in her vocal cords. She has a unique tonal quality almost superhuman. She can sing Broadway, rock, disco, Bossa nova, ballad, jazz, etc. She really sings from the heart. Her voice can be warm, tender, sweet, smooth, powerful, serene, etc.

Whitney Houston, hands down in her prime has the most beautiful voice out of all those women. And in her prime, she is the greatest vocalist as well.

I cannot wait for her new album. Honestly, watching that I don't think that Mariah even belongs in that list. She tends to be tremendously overrated.
