People are STILL bitching about Tarja? Jesus, you people are persistent, ill give you that. Anette is a great vocalist, want proof? Listen to "The Escapist", try imagining Tarja singing that. NO. WAY. Tarja was beautiful, but Anette puts so much power into her vocals, its quite impressive. They are both amazing singers with two different styles, both of which are great. And I like Anette for more reasons than that, she actually gives a damn about her fans.

@adanawse listen bro..i understand ur point... i love nightwish!there is no portuguese who loves nightwish more than me but lets be honest..nightwish were never the same again without Tarja that made me cry summer 2005 when she left.we can see that how album selling decreased starting with Anette who has a great voice but not compared with Tarja!no! BUT as a nightwish fan and lover i have to continue giving my contribute enhancing the greatness of this band.GO ANETTE!!make us proud!

@adanawse Thankyou. How many Tarja fans know that she was cancelling NW shows and obsessing over the money and becoming so wrapped up in her own work? Do any of them really know about the situations regarding her departure? Of course it was sad, but the band's longevity is shown by the fact that they are still here. Tarja's solo stuff is nowhere near NW standard, her vocals or not.

@tokorev747777 Well said. There is no valid reason for the anti-Annette campaign which still goes on. How the band are now is how they're happy: who's to tell them that they're wrong? Doubtless Tarja is an incredible singer, but I will happily listen to any NW song, whoever is singing.

@Haladran I still dislike Anette, and I don't feel I have to apologize for that. I mean, it's not like I dislike her as a person, I just don't like her voice, and not just because it's nothing compared to Tarja's. Even when judged on its own merit, Anette's voice is nasal and obnoxious.
I don't begrude new Nightwish their happiness, I just don't buy/listen to their new stuff because most of it is just meh. Why bother about new, mediocre songs when I can just re-listen to albums 1-5?

@WolfQueene I'm not saying anyone has to apolgise for disliking Annette. The main thing that does my head in with the whole Tarja/Annette thing is the people who come out with stupid statements such as "OMG I hate Annette Nightwish are shit now" there's no reason or thought in that and it's pointless.
Fair enough you don't rate NW's new songs, but that doesn't mean they're any worse. Even if Tarja was still in the band, the songs would have changed anyway. Tuomas writes them, remember.

@Haladran I do not run an Anti-Annette campaign (in fact I quite like her voice). But I ran an anti- Post Century Child campaign xD Toumas became a Hans Zimmer clone after Century Child. He is not just influenced by Hans Zimmer, he straight up copies melodies and arrangements.

What I said was that you should generally not jump to conclusions based in such factors as age or ethnicity. 2What I watch, or read is on greeck, so I cant answer some of those questions right away beacuse I inform mostly on my language as I mentioend. @Haladran It's just that Tarja was so much better, that there are two different nightwish. I have nothing against Annette, it's just that I love the old nightwish and don't like the new.
It's not about telling them they're wrong, it's about, as a fan base, saying what we enjoy and do not enjoy. Doing so should actually be viewed as helpful.
