  • Awesome. I think I'm going to do this to my Esquire. What kind of delay is used in intro to the video, does anyone know? It sounds awesome.

  • what song is at 1:50?

  • the start of the video... droool.

  • Awesome vid. Please can somebody tell me what the last song is...?

  • @s1914 The last two songs are "Monkey Man" by the Rolling Stones, and "Sunday Bloody Sunday," by U2, respectively.

  • This is my next Telecaster project. I'll get me an Ash Telebody, expand the neck pup route for a Strat pickup and make another route for the the middle pup. Then get me an Esquire pickguard. Great sound scheme!

  • Yay for the Pixies!!! =]

  • sounds real hot even though those pups are under the pickguard

  • It floodin down in texas

  • ...Andy should do narrating in TV shows he has an amazing voice!!

  • how would you adjust the pickup height of the neck and mid pickups? and i'm surprised it isn't muffled with the pickguard covering it

  • I once saw a picture of a Fender guitar simply called the Stealth, it had a Jaguar/Jazzmaster body and a blank pickguard, with 4 pickups underneath. Does anyone know anything about this instrument?

  • I'm a little confused about the wiring? Is the bridge setting wired like an esquire or like a normal tele with the nocaster pickup sounding like an esquire?

  • Is the Jeff Beck esquire the thinner model?

  • HERE COMES MANNNNNNNN me and andy indentical taste

  • Hi, are there any volume difference when changing between the pickups? Nice playing!!!

  • pink floyd at the beginning U2 at the ending... YEAHHHH

  • That intro's mad!!! How loud was the amp turned up?

  • Doesn't slathering plastic all over it completely defeat the purpose of having a vintage guitar?

  • YEAH !!!

  • from Monkey Man to Sunday Bloody Sunday! LOL haha.. cool tones

  • hell yes!!!! Pixies

  • what's the song at the start?

  • I dont get it.. Are the pickups really able to catch the sound underneath a pickguard?

  • @filerocktheworld

sounds stupid but put some coins on your pole pieces and be amazed that you still hear some sound, however more quiet.

Perhaps this pickguard is a special design which won't cut of output, or the middle and neck pickup might be a little hotter to compensate for the loss

  • which delay pedal did you use?

  • 3:51 here comes your man!

  • sounds so good!

  • texas flood mann

  • This is by far your best demo, thanks.

  • The intro and the guitar overall sounds fantastic! Fender guitar and Fender amp just can't sound bad!

  • dang! Andy sure knows his U2 and Pink Floyd chops!

  • Whoa, the neck and middle sound loud even from under a pickguard.

  • the esquire is so primal and raw. i want one someday!

  • I love the song choices almost as much as I love the instruments.

  • I luv Esquire..More than telecaster...

  • Amen to that, I usually disconnect the tone knob from the bridge on my teles to get that esquire tone for leads, but i still have the neck PU for rhythm.

  • this is really cool, how much d'you reckon one of these would cost in the uk?

  • Andy, how much does the pickguard over top of the pickups impede their volume & signal? I have Lace Sensor Reds --- high output pups like Texas Specials --- would you think they'd be loud enough through the plastic? (I can't take their covers off like you can with traditional Strat pickups.)

    Thanks (Great demo !!!)

  • Which amp is used in this demo? Full info will help also to sell other stuff than guitars. thanks

  • The amp with the mic in front is a Hot Rod Deville.

  • what kind of delay were you using when playing the floyd?

    it sounded awesome!!

  • Here Comes Your Man!!!! didn't see that one coming!! not used on enough demos

  • stevie ray vaughan yeah!!!!!!

  • Rolling Stones! Pink Floyd! Andy is really awesome!

  • This needs to come in a lefty...

    more PIXIES riffs plz!

  • pixies-here comes your man around 330-350

  • Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run, Run.

  • How much for this guitar?

  • $5,000

  • how hard would it be to mod a regular esquire with a neck pickup under the pick guard?

  • It's pretty easy. I have one. I put a Seymour Duncan Invader under the pickguard. Very cool tones.

  • Not to hard you would need lots of routing would cost lots £££

  • pickups hidden under the pickguard, sneaky

  • here comes your man, nice

  • RUN LIKE FUCK!!

  • Incredible Guitar and Demo

    Thx once more PGS!!!

  • wow nice playing at the start - what were the settings on the t rex replica??

  • That SRV covering at 2:59 just sounds wrong and dry..

  • Nice playing at the start

  • @brusselleke Lovely, Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd

  • Wow... Great intro...

  • Thanks for the friend request guys. I was suprised to have the best gear demonstrators add me.

  • yeah they added me aswell i was well happy :)

  • added me to. i was pretty happy to. its been good business for them lol, i've bought a shitload of stuff from PGS since ive discovered them.

  • this is a realy embarasing question but, what esquire mean?

  • Awesome review Andy,

Must suck to have to sit around all day and play cool ass guitars for a living, lol.

  • holy..... the tab I have for Run Like Hell is all wrong...

  • Texas Flood?

  • yep

  • great review as always, thanks for taking the time to put this stuff up guys

  • I'm sure they are sold by now!

  • Whats that song in the beginning?

  • Run like hell - Pink Floyd (from the album The Wall)

  • run like hell- pink floyd

  • Run like Hell- PInk Floyd

  • what delay was that at the beginning?

  • As if you didnt already have my respect Andy, You have forever earned my love and admiration due to your badass playin of "Here Comes Your Man" by the Pixies ( if you have never listened to them do it now)

  • that's one sexy and versatile guitar.. in both finsihes

  • That Keef riff sounded good on that!

  • i'm so glad your getting more views than before

  • andy you never cease to amaze me. you can play any genre on guitar and make it sound as close to the original artist as possible.

  • Hey andy im just wondering why you prefer to play with your fingers rather then a pick?

your a rather amazing guitarist though (:

  • I think he's a Jeff Beck devotee...........

  • They just never felt right from day one. I prefer the dynamics and multiple string plucking style over shredding. BTW, the intro was used with a pick :)

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos yeah i kinda switch back and forth

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos So wait, does Andy control the PGS Youtube account and just enjoy referring to himself in the third person now and then (god knows we've all thought about doing it), or are all these replies posted by multiple people? Is this actually some kind of government conspiracy? Does Andy even really exist AT ALL?! Please answer me Andy/anonymous PGS employee/CIA engineered Human-Alien hybrid. These are the burning questions that keep me awake at night.

Oh and great demo, BTW. ;)

  • @Elazul451 - Yes, and No, in no particular order. Hope that clears things up for you. Thanks for watching!

    -PGS

  • RUN LIKE HELL!!!!!!

    You're amazing Andy.

  • Your pink floyd cover made my day.

  • YOU BETTER RUN!

  • RUN LIKE HELL

  • Another great vid guys. Love it that you always mix between lead playing and just chugging out some chords. So few vids do that, i don't play twiddly Vai or Satch-style stuff. I get a better impression of a guitar from just hearing chords and a few riffs - and you guys always deliver :) thanx

  • HOLY SHAT THAT INTRO EAT BEAST

  • Sensacional!!!

  • TEXAS FLOOD!

  • just like Gilmour's Tele, BTW your playing kicks ass Andy.

  • yes andy you rip.....

  • Thanks everyone for the kind words!

    -Andy

  • you deserve it!

  • omg, the begging was amazing

  • Great version of monkey man Andy !

Great demos, it is great to see people using the volume of the instrument to create nice sounds.

  • sweet!

  • Awesome beggining, awesome guitar, awesome playing, awesome sounds

    *_____________*

  • Awesome playing, per usual.

  • idk..... andy is getting pretty fuckin badass. is it possible? could he maybe take on.... chuck norris??!!

  • Yes. Yes he could.

  • Run Like Hell

  • Ahh I see NVM

  • Where are the two other pickups?

  • Have you watched the video yet? It explains where the other 2 pickups are.

  • Comment removed

  • watch the video....

  • It even said in the video there's three pickups, two are just hidden

  • did you even watch the video?

the pickups are underneath the pick guard.

  • SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY <3

  • I'm a Monkey!!

  • 3:30 "Here comes your man" from the Pixies

    well done!

  • TEXAS FLOOD!

  • Comment removed

  • Pixies! I really appreciated that.

  • what's the song at 2:40 it sounds amazing..

  • no.. i mean at 4:08

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood

  • Nice...but I just don't like the worn look. If I'm going to buy a guitar that looks 40 years old...I want it to be 40 years old. You have to earn those dings and knicks.

  • The cool thing is, andy's fingers sound like a pick. Fingerstyle and picking technique combined, without even using a pick!

    Great guitar btw!

  • what was the song in the end?

  • Sunday Bloody Sunday By U2.

  • What delay were you using at the beginning?

  • Holy crap that sounds awesome!

  • It sounds like a memory man.

  • That was a T Rex Reptile.

  • What effect is it in intro??

  • amazing, great tone tele.

  • that my friend is what I call a guitar

  • Loved the Run Like Hell at the start and the fact that you played Here Comes Your Man too.

  • This video has some great guitar playing on those fancy Fenders. Thank you Andy.

  • quick, somebody lend me 5 grand!

  • Ok but i have high interest rates do you take paypal??

  • This is the best you've ever sounded Andy, absolutely brilliant playing and great tone! I hope you kept this axe for yourself :)

  • That butterscotch Tele has absolutely killer tone. That's the kind of guitar a guy can really lust after.

  • OMFG thats one of the most beautiful guitars i have ever heard. I just love the 2 hiden pickups.

  • my god... i found my future wife

  • you mean andy? LMAO scnr

  • what delay was that?

  • I haven't heard SRV in a while at PGS! Love it!!!

  • Had I the money I'd definitely consider one of these. cool stuff.

  • I have never heard of this hidden pickups

  • the hidden pickups are AWESOME

  • i want to marry that guitar.

  • what effects is any using for pink floyd? i know its delay but what else?

  • Pixies... damn you never stop!

  • OMG HOW MANY FUCKING CUSTOM FENDERS ARE THERE JESUS FUCK

    *shoots himself in the head*

  • Are there any paranoids in the audience?

  • Very cool guitar! I love that you played Here Comes Your Man by The Pixies

  • Nash tele ftw

  • Dammit Andy!

I don't know about making me wanna buy stuff, you make me want to give up, LoL!

  • massive twang...love it

  • i like the intro!! but what's the song called?

  • dangg!!! soo siick! sooooooooo sick!!!

  • Andy you're the only one who makes that crappy HotRod lead channel sound good!!!

Are you really using that amp or........?

Pink Floyd rules all the way :)

  • That's a cleverly made guitar

  • Sounds great, but 5000$ are too expensive :-(

  • Sweet demo, great to hear Here Comes Your Man alongside Texas Flood!

  • Whatever that was at the beginning was AMAZING!! Does anybody know? It sounded familiar...

  • i wish i had $5000 dollars to spend

  • Jesus, how do you play here comes your man without a pick. That's nuts.

  • Cleary our man Andy is a master of the Jeff Beck "picks are for fairies" school of rock.

ON topic, though, that Esquire sounds amazing. I've always fancied the idea of a guitar with a Tele bridge pickup and Strat middle and neck pickups. I'll have to see about getting one made when I can afford it.

  • seriously. I totally agree with you all the way down.

  • I loveeee the pink floyd andy!! Sounds great man!

  • andy you never cease to amaze! im not a big fender person, i prefer agile, jackson and esp, but i wouldnt mind owning one of these!
