Most people who laugh at "conspiracy theorists" are usually doing so out of ignorance of the available facts and evidence at hand (evidence that likely isn't shared by the mass media empire, hence their ignorance). There have been so many scientific tests conducted on psychic phenomena. Investigate the Society for Psychical Research's experiments (they've been going strong for well over a hundred years), tests on people such as Daniel Dunglas Home, Nina Koligina, and Leonora Piper... Ah... My list goes on and on. There is an excessive amount of evidence for psychic phenomena -much of which no chance of fraud would seem possible. Try to present both sides of the coin, even if you are skeptical.

Carl Sagan said something very interesting about the different abilities which he thought had substantial evidence to back them up and needed to be evaluated further. This included telepathy, psychokinesis (as a small effect), reincarnation, etc; The only way to study psychic phenomena is without bias. Your bias blinds you, just as much as a believers bias can blind them.

The last statement is incorrect. Many people have demonstrated that they have abilities under strict testing which precluded any notion of fraud. It is interesting that so many close minded people refute the evidence presented though. Apparently in their minds, if they'd done the testing, the people would've been caught in fraud. Ironically, so many die hard skeptics have been converted over the years. Investigate Richard Hodgson and his studies with Mrs. Leonora Piper, for one example of many.

okay, so i didnt believe in this stuff until a while back, but on one of my drug adventures, i managed to see with my eyes closed. i was actually walking around and opening drawers, looking at their contents and then confirming what i saw by opening my eyes. never got anything wrong. as the affects were wearing off, the objects started morphing (ie decreasing in size). to this day, i can still see the coloring of nearby objects with my eyes closed. shits weird yo.

He compiles hundreds of pages of documented scientific studies that have been done over the past century. As with all cold redaings, they give extremely vague predictions that have a high probability of being true, such as they are near in or near a large body of water. They are below ground level, possibly buried. By using these psychics, they divert resources from fact based detective investigation.

There have been so many scientific tests conducted on psychic phenomena. Investigate the Society for Psychical Research's experiments (they've been going strong for well over a hundred years), tests on people such as Daniel Dunglas Home, Nina Koligina, and Leonora Piper... Ah... My list goes on and on. There is an excessive amount of evidence for psychic phenomena -much of which no chance of fraud would seem possible. Try to present both sides of the coin, even if you are skeptical.

Carl Sagan said something very interesting about the different abilities which he thought had substantial evidence to back them up and needed to be evaluated further. This included telepathy, psychokinesis (as a small effect), reincarnation, etc; The only way to study psychic phenomena is without bias. Your bias blinds you, just as much as a believers bias can blind them.

The last statement is incorrect. Many people have demonstrated that they have abilities under strict testing which precluded any notion of fraud. It is interesting that so many close minded people refute the evidence presented though. Apparently in their minds, if they'd done the testing, the people would've been caught in fraud. I feel sorry for people like him who are devoid of knowledge of our existence and if he only opened his eyes he would see the real world starring back at him. There are obviously "charlatan" teachings but these are soon found out. To claim that the paranormal is nonsense is someone who has not bothered to investigate the subject. This blindfold effect has to do wit a code and aslo muscle contractions. The "psychic" has not read the evidence brought about respected scientists in the 1930,s and earlier in the nineteenth century very sweeping statemanets for someone with a closed mind.

welll considering I am using my consciousness every day then I haave some expertise. Then if consciousness has been explained then why are there hundreds of books discussing the concept of consciousness and the origins of such. if it has been found then indeed shout from the housetops but I doubt it as physicists are still debating this among other things including observer interference in experiments as to sub atomic physics. I'd just like to point out the fact that there's a difference between being psychic and pretending to be psychic, like moving objects with your mind alone and for example moving a spoon from a drawer to your hand, that's just some kind of illusion. Real psychic abilities aren't that exagurated. I know because I am in fact psychic. And I'm not sitting at the county fair giving out fortunes and reading peoples futures, I'm just a normal guy who's psychic. Believe what you like, it's still true.

Mr Dawkins has obviously great knowledge as a biologist but his remarks regarding the paranormal The statements made are denying the free will of human beings. If someone just makes statements without studying the claims then you cannot possibly talk about it. Although they say there is no proof then they obviously know nothing about the research that has been going on for years as Consciousness and in Parapsychology. It seems they live in very narrow view of the Universe.

But if you are capable of making an objective proof (scientifically anchored experiment that can be repeated and brings measurably the same results under the same conditions), don't make videos, write a paper on it and publish, you'll be rich and famous in no time.

Yeah. It was based on bad observation. Then the tools got better, the tests more sophisticated, the methods more reliable... and now we have good science. That not the same as bad religion, which started as bad religion, and is STILL bad religion. Thousands of years to change, and the best that has been done is an appology to Gallileo and Pope said condoms are now okay to prevent disease, but not contraceptioin.

In 2500 years since the romans introduced a medical facility in all roman camps till today. Science cant cure the common cold nor effectively treat any issue on a prolonged basis. Outside of the rare surgery not all surgerys and antibiotics in reaility science has still accomplised little. vaccines only allow the body to heal itself.

Only a fool with no understanding of viruses and bacteria thinks this is a good argument. We very well can cure the "common cold." The problem is the "common cold" comes in hundreds if not thousands of different strains that mutate too quickly to both trying to do anything with it.
