Immigration is a "Hispanic" issue. The white people wanted her to talk about "Black" issues.

Also, this is more common in Republican groups. Or, if we want to separate from D/R labels, it is most likely about how a lot of white people haven't had any meaningful experiences with black people. But, I do not think this is at all representative of liberals.

It's representative of many people's stereotyped IDEAS of liberals. They're seen as brain-numbingly naive, simpleminded, and ironically--narrowminded as hell (like when these kids turn sour at the black girl going "off message.")

In my case, I always keep in mind that things and people outside my life experience are just that---outside my life experience, and I'd do well to remember that before making too many assumptions. Sometimes I fail at this, and I'll gladly stand corrected when I do so.

immigration is not just a hispanic issue. Illegal immigration is mainly a hispanic issue but lots of africans trying to get into this country cannot because of the tight immigration laws and most people who do get in have lots of restrictions on what they can and cannot do and how long they can stay etc. So NO immigration is not just a hispanic issue, it is an issue for all non-residents of this country
