First, I asked you to cite the source that says 51,000 ppl died in Iraq, but you haven't done that yet. According to a study back in 2006, it that there were 655,000 excess deaths in Iraq since the war started, and this was in the Lancet. That's over half a million people from '03 - '06. It is based on that report and further study that it was concluded over a million ppl have died since '03 in Iraq.

It's been awhile since i reviewed it, i was wrong. Still not 1 million. Keep in mind the fighting has decreased. Also keep in mind a few other things.
A) Canada is fighting this war 2, you are just as responsible as we are.
B) A great many of these were insergents
C) The vast majority of civillian deaths were casued by the insergency.

If the US actually cared about democracy then they would've listened to the Iraqis in the first place. There were many polls at that time that were done by independent agencies asking if they wanted the US to invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam or not. An overwhelming majority of Iraqis said they did NOT want foreign intervention and that they'll handle their own problem.
To say they have democracy and that is a sign of the good we've done is absurd. At what price. The death of 1 million ppl?

The number comes from an independent British Polling Agency called ORB. Opinion Research Business, based in London. They put the number at 1.2 million deaths.

Keep in mind roughly a third of combat operations are carried out by Iraqi forces now and their civilian deth toll is no smaller than ours.
These civilian deaths are tragic, biut nobody is "slaughtering" anyone unless you count the insergents.

Under Saddam an average of 72,000 people died each year due to political violence. Now this generation will grow up free and theyll have opportunities they could never have imagined under Saddam. I think thats well worth what its cost so far, but thats not for me 2 decide. I'll tell you what, look me up in 2 years when this is all over. The majority of the crimes that are mentioned against Saddam are pre-1990 when US and Iraq were allies and the US helped Saddam gas his own population.
