go to settings, phone, browse down to network, then network mode, select between dual, gsm or 3g...i heard having it on 3g reduces battery life so thats my main concern

in Colombia this only works on 2G phone, you could tell me what all the disadvantages of having to use 2G and not 3G

@jamrock95 if 3g is not available it will automatically use 2g network.

I likes. Now, if only I can move to an area covered by T-Mo (US), I'll actually be able to get 3G with this (with ATT now). :{

Yeah, I'm aware. ATT in the US uses a diff frequency band for 3G that's not compatible with the N900, so I only get 2G speeds.
