The race itself was well worth the money. We did sit in an 1-1/2 of traffic on one road which pushed our time back. Parking was shitty too.But it's the first one I didn't expect it to go perfectly smooth. The race though was tough an fun. Zombies did great. I know alot of people didn't get to run. It seems like they over booked and didn't prepare well enough for parking/traffic.

Don't go to this. It's a complete joke. I drove 8 hours from NC to Maryland to run in this thing. My wave was at 5:00. We got there for 3-4 hours early and just say in traffic and by the time we actually go to the race they had shut it down! Hundreds maybe thousands of people didn't get to run. It was a disorganized mess. No police presence, no one directing traffic. They say they are going to refund everyone's money which I doubt because that money has already been spent. Stay Away!

@grenpeison Check the Facebook Page buddy. Posted a bunch of info about refunds and what we're doing to make up for your lost time/day. Directing traffic wasn't the issue - it was the parking that was the issue. We were forced to close down other lots due to mud, and got stuck with shuffling everyone into one lot. It sucked.

Started to get back in shape last week for this...! Doing 11 km loops, i know those zombies gunna be hungry as fawk. Thats why i plan on having a fail safe system... bringing a really smart, slower friend so they eat his brain first (smarter means more tender meat!). Then, a pretty girl so they can snack on her because she'll be so soft and moist! MOIST! And that will leave me with enough time to get away ALLIIVEEEEE

So how exactly does this work? Several people sign up to be zombies and then theres runners?

@MichaelHaire0 There are waves of runners, you sign up for one. There are 350-400 people per wave. Each runner gets a belt of health (think flag football) if you loseyour health, you are zombified. In addition to zombies, there are 12 obstacles. You also can find health packets along the way. If you find one, you are guaranteed to survive. You either get a survivor or zombie medal at the end of the race. Then you go get drunk at the Apocalypse Party. I am running the 10:30 wave in the MD race!
