star when they're really young, old enough so that they don't rely on their parents for survival anymore but still young. Get them in an enclosed place, away from glass and mirrors, let them fly and land. Then approach them very slowly, place your finger unde rtheir belly and gradually lift so they step on your hand or fingers like a step. First few times they will fly awya eventually they will get used to your fingers, then your hands, then your shoulder and then you'll be able to pet them too

I wonder: was this absolutely beautiful finch hand-fed and/or raised? We have a "petshop-bought" finch (female green singer, see the playlist on my channel) that we have somewhat tamed (steps up, does the ladder, "kisses," etc.) and I am trying to find on YouTube some other tame finches that have not been hand-fed and/or raised...

i want one!....about 2 weeks ago me and my friend found so baby birds on the ground and we saved them and put them back up in the nest and the mom came back and fed them for about 3 days and disapered and the babys were gone to! ...i want that bird...lol
