this episode of top gear is a ton load of b.s propaganda against jap car makers, just ti make us avoid cars that actually are better built. japanese auto makers make great looking cars as well, just as well as jaguar, mercedes and bmw makes ugly cars as well

If Clarkson's going to wax on about how exciting cars are... He should take a look at Korean cars. Same reliability, same basic excitement problems.

Japanese car makers figured out that if they make something that doesn't break down every week, you'll have more customers than if you sell something exciting but throwing Check Engine codes every tuesday.

While Toyota has a history of putting out boring Corollas and Camrys(Camries?), they occasionally put out the occasional fun car, AE86, FT86, MR2, Supra, etc. Kia/Hyundai has very rarely put out anything even close to fun.
