@heymargaretlook I know that the "Uncle Ben's" rice is instant. Anything from a box. I have never heard of anyone cooking long grain rice in 10 minutes traditionally.

Hi. Is the 1.5 cups of water for brown rice also? I have a rice cooker that I have used for years but am getting an electric pressure cooker. I am curious to see which is faster my rice cooker or the pressure cooker.

No, I cook rice in 11 minutes in boiling water. Cant see how this saves you time

@heymargaretlook 11 minutes for instant rice or regular rice? Instant rice has lost all nutritional value. Beriberi was caused by polished rice (lack of b vitamins)
