  • can someone translate what the officer and hoffman say?

  • חבורה של זונות!!!

  • The woman here have all the right to be there and pray, but they have to respect the fact that the Orthodox men by Jewish law cannot hear woman sing. They are being disrespectful of Jewish law and should know better especially at the Westen Wall.By the way,I am a woman just in case some people view my comment as against the rights of woman.

I find it hypocrytical of her to sing holding the Torah, yet she is disrespecting the law of Kol Isha that is written in the very book she is holding.

  • @semowery Who cares whether you're a woman or not? Have you ever heard about Stockholm syndrome ?

  • @semowery If the men are not "allowed" to hear the women they should wear earplugs or times should be separated between orthodox and liberals and/ or women and men. It's the men's responsiblity not the women's .

  • I think the cops are CRaZy, aren´t they jews, or how can they do so with the most holiest book in the world???

  • I can only think of one women she is acting like from the TaNaKh....and that is.....JEZEBEL!

  • When you police tell you to do somthing you should do it! They all should have been arrested!

  • @KingOystar So when the police tells you to do something that violates your rights, you should do huh? That's what I thought.

  • although i really love and respect the women of the wall, perhaps they would be taken more seriously if they didnt wear there tallitot like scarfs around their necks or if they carried the Torah in the correct manor- yet the israeli guards need to appoligize beacuse you were doing nothing wrong

  • She came to speak to a group of my friends and i when we where in Jerusalem. she is such a great inspiration to everyone. She told us that her dream is for a girl to have her Bat Mitzvah(coming of age ceremony) at the wall, but due to the law which restricts anything that others find religiously offensive, this cannot be. i hope one day she achieves that dream, Go Anat. Aleh V'Hagshem.

  • The Tallit is a Mitzvah for men NOT women!

  • how do you stop someone from praying ?

  • איזה נשים מטורפות חחח

  • BEAUTIFUL VOICES G-d bless you Anat

  • I totally support Anat. Judaism is not sacred from womens right to their belief. Patriarchs all over the world are the same, sadly the orthodox of Jerusalem are being inspired by their muslim male fellows.

  • These women are not motivated by love of Torah, but by a need to make a feminist political statement. They want to pervert Judaism for their own agendas.

  • @wrlord Alas, Judaism has been continually perverted by the Pharisees and their spiritual descendents some 2,200 years now. Even in "traditional" Orthodox/Rabbinic Judaism females weren't forbidden to wear a Tallit (provided that it had a feminine design) by any Rabbi of Gedolai haDor authority until late in the Middle Ages.

  • @wrlord Are you typing from a Kosher computer?

  • What are all these women doing out of the kitchen?

  • @nbear1990 fuck you

  • The translation at 0:09 is wrong. The other woman is crying out: "[You] mentally ill", not "insane people".

  • The law of God is supreme at the temple. These women have no respect for the law of God. They seek to impose their will and mock God's law.

  • MY NEIGHBOR IS IN CHARGE OF THOSE ACTIVITIES AT THE KOTEL - AND HE IS QUITE THE LAID BACK TYPE - BUT HE IS TOTALLY AGAINST WHAT THESE FEMINISTS DID THAT DAY... NOT ONLY THAT HE SAYS THEY'VE BEEN IN COURT OVER THIS MATTER FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. P.S. IT'S NOT OK TO TRY AND UNDERMINE TRADITIONAL JUDAISM - NO MATTER WHO OR 'WHAT' YOU ARE... -SHALOM

  • How is it that Israel (a western nation) allows this discrimination to persist?! And yes, I read the law forbidding a woman to read the Torah (which is Jewish last I checked) via the Israeli Supreme court.

Israel might want to revisit this issue, as instances like this make it easy for critics to (falsely) accuse the Jewish state of being as oppressing as Saudi Arabia when it comes to womans rights.

    Just my two shekels.

  • I agree with enderzero. It's all man made. Why else would women be treated in this way. It's all about men keeping their power, however violent, unproductive and ridiculous it becomes

  • They're standing on occupied Palestinian land. Those fascist policemen do not have the right to impose Israeli law on Palestinian territory. Freedom to Jews and Palestinians! Down with the tyranny!

  • @adribon You're a brainwashed, mindless and useful idiot in the service of Palestinian propaganda. That is authentic Jewish land.

Learn history from bonafide sources instead of Palinazi rags.

For a sterling example of tyranny look no further than your beloved Palinazi Authority - racist, fascist, worse than Apartheid, supporting Honor Killings, persecutor of Gays, Xtians etc. at that. They occupy indigenous Jewish land.

Stop Palinazi occupation of native Jewish land! Free Eres Yisra'el!!

  • @ZviJ1 Go study history. Judaism is a religion and not a race or ethnicity. Today's Jews are NOT the descendants of biblical Jews. Judaism spread through proselytizing of pagans in Southern Arabia, Eastern Europe and North Africa. The inhabitants of the Levant (Palestine, Lebanon) largely converted to Christianity and later to Islam. The Jewish exile by the Romans never happened. It's a myth.

  • @adribon Thanks for proving my points. You're a certified liar.

I'd wager you also consider the Holocaust a myth.

I won't be opening the YouTube email message containing your next response and won't return to this thread.

I'm now done with you. Dress up in your brown shirt and jackboots, then go suck on Isma`il Hanniyeh's dick .

  • @ZviJ1 If you don't believe me, you can read everything in the famous book by the Tel Aviv University professor Shlomo Sand "Matai ve’ech humtza ha’am hayehudi?" Don't let the truth frighten you. I am no Holocaust denier. But I agree with Norman Finkelstein Zionists have abused the memory of the Holocaust for political gain.

  • I understand they were being purposefully loud and distracting to make a scene over the whole prayer shawl thing. That was wrong. The Wall should be a place for sincere prayer, not political activism. Nonetheless, it still makes me angry how they manhandled the Torah scroll while they were arresting her. Here they are, supposedly acting to preserve the sanctity of the Torah and...well...just look at the footage from 3:06 onwards.

  • One more example of why religion is man made a true Creator would never disrespect and degrade women, the carriers of life, a true Creator would celebrate women.

  • Comment removed

  • Tenor, our local law professor, I would like to correct your statement. The law decided by the supreme court states that it is a provocation and forbidden for the WoW to wear tallit, tafilin, and to read from a scroll. Not as you said, only to read from a Torah.

  • Tags say: נשות

Is that truth or fiction? Or comedy?

  • and all they want is more jewish rights. shame....

  • these women are completely anti orthodox. and probably drive to shul on shabbat and eat at non kosher restaurants.

  • @eaglemanhbg A. You have no idea if that's true. B. It's completely irrelevant. Since when is it okay for supposedly "anti-Orthodox" people to be arrested for no reason?

  • as a matter of law, can i point out that the prohibition is on women reading from the torah at the kotel........this video shows a lack of that before her arrest! for what reason was she arrested and charged....she didnt read, therefore,m what? she was arrested for carrying a sefer.....?????? i come from an orthodox background where women are entitled to carry a sefer....i cant see why she was arrested, she didnt commit a crime!

  • The funny thing is that while the Reform movement and Anat Hoffman (who is one of their leaders within Israel) don't keep the Shabbat, which is demanded by this "God inspired" Torah, they wish to wear kippot which is a Rabbinical tradition/law created and endorsed by ORTHODOX Rabbis within the last 500 years. The only source for this is brought through midrash, which it rejected and holds no authority according to the Reform movement.

  • @Zeevyboy None of this justifies her arrest.

  • "Torah belongs to all of us," I love how the very people who deny the divinity of Torah and describe it as "God inspired" can sit there and cry over not wearing Tefilin. I mean, how ridiculous does it sound to demand the ability to "fallow" the Torah by wearing Tefilin, Tallit, and Kippot while you eat non-kosher food and drive your car on Shabbat?

  • We were all at Mount Sinai, the Torah belongs to all of us as does the Wall that once held up the Temple. The Wall is not just for the Orthodox, people of all streams of Judaism pray there and have a right to. And who is anyone to tell any Jew to hold down our voices when we pray? Shame! And trying to grab the Torah? Who does that? Who treats a Torah like that? I am holding back the tears. Sheli, Sheli she said. It is mine. Who can deny that of any Jew?

  • @bkavadias "Orthodox" Judaism is the only Judaism. The Conservative,Reform,Reconstructionist,Egalitarian and other MOVMENTS are not Judaism. They may be born Jewish, but do not practice Judaism in any form. They are a complete rejection of Torah M'Sinai and are fakers.A true Jewish woman would respect the Torah and act in a correct way, dressed modestlly and following Halacha!

  • @gulimar27 I refer you to the Institute of Jewish Ideas and Ideals. Your orthodoxy does not speak for all. Judaism suffers without all its constituent parts...certainly Orthodoxy suffers the most by denying our shared heritage.

  • @gulimar27 The more Jews distance themselves from Ortho Judaism, the more ludicrous the surreal rants emanating from its adherents.

Little does this Haredi know that Moshe Rabbenu (Peace Be Upon Him) would barely recognize his version of Judaism a.k.a. Halakha as a form of Torah observance and would've excoriated all its practitioners as something akin to Ba`al worshippers.

The practices of the Conservative, Conservadox, Reform, Reconstructionist, Renewal and especially the Qaraites are

  • @ZviJ1 { Ctnd.}

much closer to the Only Torah (Khumash) than the Orthodox Rabbinic perversion. This is especially where the moral Miswot are concerned, which countless Orthodox Jews largely don't heed.

The informed are aware that Orthodox Judaism is teeming with borrowings from idolatrous religions. Most every Ortho is unaware or denies this.

  • @gulimar27 Sorry but this is bullsh*t. I am a proud secular jew, and i believe that i have every right to this claim and feel as 'jewish' as any man at the wall. This 'fakers' nonsense you talk of is laughable. Im not sure if you are jewish yourself, but im guessing whatever you are, you are close minded. Any jewish woman who feels a connection, like anat hoffman in her reform judaism, may do what she did.

  • @bkavadias the Kotel does not belong to us! it belongs to HaShem! just as the whole world is HaShem's! we are just the caretakers!

  • The police officer tells her that her carrying of the sefer tora in the western wall compound is prohibited by the ruling of the israeli supreme court, she argues , then the police take her to be arrested, the police officer repeatedly tells the other police man not to pull her and to watch out for the tora so it wouldnt fall down. this was a provokation , but a justified one.

  • The police officer is telling her to give him the Torah, and that she knows this isn't right. I believe by right he means she is instigating the entire western wall who happen to be orthodox, from Haraidi to Modern. Watch the fallowing video, I found it nicely tied everything together for those who don't understand traditional Jewish faith and modern Israel:

  • Physics, the difference between Israel and Muslim states is Israel doesn't support the antagonizing of entire faith groups. These police officers weren't even religious, they understood what she was doing was only to push the limits and insult all the orthodox around. She has been know in the past to cause problems and the supreme court even came into it (and, if you want to try to claim the supreme court is religious your pulling a rabbit out of your hat).

  • Today I turn my back on Israel. I've been 100% supportive of the state of Israel but seen this I no more see a difference between Israel and Muslims. I believed Israel was an extention of my country. How blind I've been. Not my money, not any type of support for Israel anymore. Shame on you!

  • Agreed. I would love to know what they are saying...

  • Can someone please translate the dialogue between Anat and the police?

This looks like she wasn't even in the Kotel area when they arrested her, that is, she wasn't where they were praying originally.

  • Friends, please share this video widely.
