  • so relaxing, beautifully played.

  • aweseome!

you might find it easier to loosen up you fingers on the top hand if you bring the thumb closer to the index finger. Just a humble suggestion. although it does get very difficult to change your grip once you get used to it.

  • יפה מאוד

  • Beautiful work! Really enjoyed that, keep up the great work!

  • Love his music... you can tell he puts alot of emotion into his playing. well done

  • nice sound -is this in kherwa taal ?

  • @fmsad , great! u r right, its kerwa in a modified way! Word are, "Dhage nati naka dhina"!

  • That song is a rough re-make from the title track of Zakir Hussain's album-Making Music

  • Just love this :D

  • does anyone know exactly what type of bansuri this is? Key? Who made it? Where to find one? thanks

  • @TheYamoos If my ear is correct his flute is in the key of E. All holes closed @ 1:20 sounds like an E with a length of somewhere in the upper 20's low 30's perhaps?

  • refreshing and played with great expertise. nice software too, what is the name of it?

  • i like ur play in all nay, basuri etc

  • The sound of peace

  • THANKS!

  • Avi, it's absolutely beautiful!

  • Incredible, wonderfull song. I got no words to express what I felt when I heard it. Amazing.

  • BEAUTIFUL

Can you recommend a book or video for learning?

How do you extract the samples? Heard of several software solutions to produce tabla and sitar sound directly.

  • Hi Avi,

This Elia, we met in Pai (thailand)

    good to see/hear you again.

Very nice! good picture, good sound, good playing good backround,

I love the way you used Zakir husen samples.

  • Really nice work imenanilimili, it definitely has a Hariprasad feel to it but with a western twist. I would recommend getting rid of the guitar strings though. The other indian string instrument sounds perfect though.

  • remember lady the first time we met,

something like this was on the tv....when i asked, you snubbed me....thus began my lifelong obsession! lajawaab, meri bano

  • beautifully spoken and goes nicely with the music. Enchanted words with an enchanted melody. I hope you always have such wonderous memories and spoken words. Our world lacks such culture and beauty I can only imagine what it would be like if more people could express beauty in music and words as you have done.. what a place it would be.. peace

  • dikkat edelim it's a BANSURI

  • helal be allah zaval vermesin

  • i bought a ney but i can't sound it.how do you blow to sound?

  • good feeling my friend I play QUENA and is good interpretation... i am CHECHO (saludos desde

    LIMA PERU) machu picchu

  • This is amazing.

Is the Tabla sequenced in the software or is that a live sample?

Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.

  • hi sonnetg

well, the Tabla is a live sample. it's actually few samples from the same track(making music-with H.P.chaurasia and Zakir husen)combined together.

    thanks

wish you the best day ever....

  • @imenanilimili excuse but what is your bansuri tuned in? I like the sound of it very much but I know it isn't traditional E...please if you can get back to me ASAp 'cause I want to my bansuri already, thank you..

  • I bought a lovely flute from Ravi Shankar Mishra from Mysore last year. I know he makes both large flutes with dep sound as well as smaller higher pitched flutes. I think his website is ravimisra dot com and you can buy online. Good luck with the bansuri!

  • E Natural base (170 EU). With this bansuri, the indian note Sa (three upper holes closed) is an E.

  • Harsh Wardhan in New Delhi makes some of the best bansuri, as played by Pt. HariPrasad Chaurasia 3w's wardhan dot com

  • where can I get one of those flut? how can I order one?

  • the flute is called "NEY". it is an instrument originally used in the Middle East. I am sure you can look it up on the internet and find more info on it. shouldnt be hard to buy it online...

    cheers

  • a ney is originally played vertically; in this case i would trust the title that says its a bansuri flute (as i got one too). a ney produces a much more windy and mourning sound and its blowing hole is just one of the two ends of the flute whereas a bansuri has a blowing hole like a classical western flute. the sound is obviously much more "fruity" how i call it than the desert-like sounding ney -

  • I love this!

  • This is wonderful. Anyone know what raag/raga he's playing in?

  • Allegedely this is Rag Hamsadhvani Its Carnatic in origin but played in North Indian Music
