  • looks like TKD...lol

  • Why a sensei discourage one of his own pupil ,and why tell him that he is a killer >?

Just because i don karate just for fun (getting hit ,breaking briks ,leaqrning new "nice" moves ,isn't that karate ?

and explain to me why you do kiokushi?what it means to you ?

The spirituality protects you from a kick of a brute?or a punch ?dont understand me work until 7 years ago i belived in spirituality until i was beat the hell up by a juy ,thaht time i was doing judo .That guys had 4 years more than me

  • @Serban3di I never said that everything is spiritual and I for sure do not discourage - I said that it starts with respect (and also end with respect) I am sorry for that specific incident you hade by losing a fight ( I do not know the circustances about that)- I do not know if I will be able to defend my self in case of trouble but I will despite that train with heart. Kyokushin means many things.. just the word OSU explains a lot, look for it. I suggest you to have more positive thoughts. OSU

  • @Krisgomgun you could say that i have taken a blue belt with only brute force ,i dont use my mind to much ,unles im on kumite..True with the spiritual though,i'm not the kind that respecs a teaches unles he proves to me that he is worthy of having a black belt .I' m good at breaking stuf ,bones and some briks or boards. This year i was diqualified for kuby nage (why the fuck they diqualified me ,dunno ) and do jime .At a time a sensei told me you aren't a fghter just a killer ,what that means?

  • this is a joke ,no!?

Comeon ,i train in fukin shotokan ,who is suposed to be more with the art than kumite ,unlike kiokushinkay.

Those push-ups wtf ,those mawashy geri ,comeon ,wtf ,the ushiro geri .Dont get upset on me ,i have a very severe sensei and true i cant to resit for 2 hours at full force but im not a black belt in just a blue one .The yelow and white ones worked prety nice for their suposed grade ,but the black ones should be superhumans ,when they wold kick those sandbags .....

  • @Serban3di first of all you have no idea about Karate or any martial art!!! Martial art is respect, is a way of living. Your comments are always welcome in a proper manner. The way you are presenting your self is not the way and not welcome. I recommend you to start from cero, take out your blue belt and put on the white one again because you are not worthy have the blue belt. I suggest you to have a thought on the spiritual thoughts of Kyokushin Karate and why we do this. Learn from Mas Oyama.

  • @Serban3di secondly, there is no black belts in that Video.

  • the kicking in this vid is a bit sloppy considering that its koreans doing them as the kick is a korean specalty. talk about ironic

  • @Tovash

How the hell is a kick considered to be a korean specialty??

If you're implying Taekwondo, yes TKD is a korean art that specialises in kicking. But even for koreans they need to be properly trained in kicking. It's not like koreans are automatically born with an innate good ability to kick!

  • just wondering why they do knukle press ups on a matted floor as i thought in kyokushin they did a lot of hard body training for the kumite that they do and doing them on that type of just defeats the object of that type of press up.

  • @Tovash Probably the only spot they could find or afford at the time. Besides, lot of instructors only do hard body training in the upper ranks, and this class has a lot of lower ranks in it. But the heavy bag/resistance bag work is pretty good (I have to try that sometime), along with the plyometric knuckle-ups, which would be really extreme for lower belts if they were on bare flooring. It's important to know your students not and overtrain them.

  • @deek77 ok thats fair

  • what is the name of song?

  • Is this IKO1 Kyokushin Karate in Seoul? If so, do they only have recognized IKO1 dojos in Seoul?

  • @omarr380 OSU, there are several dojos in Seoul, Iko1, Iko royama, iko midori, Kyokushin union... this dojo is open for any student, this dojo is the best in south korea.. they do not descriminate anyone... osu...

  • Is this IKO1 Kyokushin Karate in Seoul?

  • Good, good.

  • Looks like a joke!

  • @bask01chn1 OSU thanks

  • very cool Osu !

  • @NaCl012 OSU domo arrigato

  • Nice... OSU

  • @tamuxsas OSU thank you-- OSU

  • very goog try for you kick!! good training keep training!!

    osu!!

  • @zakardo OSU, thanks--

  • i hope ur balance in kicking and technique has improved since u made this video, and when u use knife hand strikes at the end on the makiwara board, why are your fingers slightly apart? and this dojang is in seongnam? i was going to go there, but instead i go to one near seoul. keep at it

  • @JtotheS09 OSU, Yes I hope so too, my kicks are not the best in high level - I have been focused on this since some time to improve that. When I was in Japan, with the great master Royama he told me to have a slight separation of the fingers. But for sure is something to check also - Thanks for your comments, this will help me. Yes this Dojang is in Seongnam - is one of the best in South Korea- the master is Sabomnim Hong Park and you can find is web page in daum as seognam karate. OSU

  • hehe, I soo love this video, I watched it many times .

    osu, my respect :)

  • @Duiveltje78 osu... many thanks.. respect osu

  • OSU

Gracias a este video he tenido muchisimas ideas para mis entrenamientos

    OSU!

  • @kneiden21 OSU... gracias

  • Whats the song called? Its cool!

  • @ifrit1780 OSU, I do not know the name is one of the songs from KYOKUSHIN I got when I was in Japan.

    OSU

  • @Krisgomgun the title of the song is 空手道・おとこ道(the way of karate, the way of man)

the ending song of the anime "karate baka ihidai" and it was originally sung by Yamazaki Terutomo sensei

    watch?v=WVJqf-wwHks

  • @ireglk domo arrigato... OSU

  • i guess, this video has caught my heart. participate many tournaments so u may motivated harder. train harder, push over the limit OSU!

    barry-indonesian kyokushinkan

  • @barrythm OSU, is just as you say, many thanks. Best regards and keep training. OSU

  • pff this is not real kyokushin. this is parody of it

  • @muaybattletv OSU, thanks for your comment, we will improve to be better persons and to be better in Kyokushin by daily training in all senses. Best regards, OSU

  • back at ya krisgomgun

  • @majaimay OSU

  • dude what the hell are you talking about this isn't real kyokushin training? What do you mean real kyokushin training is harder than this. I've practiced in tons of different kyokushin dojo's in various places in the world and this is totally consistent with all of they're training.

  • @majaimay OSU Domo arrigato..

  • The song is cool!

    Nice training too!

  • @ifrit1780 OSU, many thanks for your comment. best regards, OSU

  • @Krisgomgun OSU, Domo arrigato, best regards,

  • @ifrit1780 OSU, thanks..

  • Boring.. Thats not the real kyokushin!! Training is harder than this shit.. When you training is like that, than you never find the real spirit of Oyama-karate!!

    OSU

  • @Narushima85 The real essence lies on the respect, this is real Budo Karate as Kyokushin. One of the base pillars is not to disrespect or use bad words. That is the spirit of Oyama Karate. To watch a 5 minutes video and determine with your words!?!? Well is up to everyone but I think there still other ways to express your meanings and in other hand who are you to determine if this is real kyokushin or not?

    Keep training. OSU

  • look i dont do kyukoshin.. but these guys should stop leaning forwards and raising their shoulders? i know u can't punch face in kyukoshin rules .. but you still should be keeping ure back up striaght and keeping a center of gravity? i do shotokan.. maybe its not as bloody as this.. but the techniques are basicly all the same

  • @06a09 OSU, thanks for your insight and you are right, I try always to tell my students now in Spain to have straight back and to not look down or facing down with the head. Thanks.

    OSU

  • @Krisgomgun u take advice from an unkown on youtube and still kept your humility ! very cool, i wish more ppl were like you. If it makes sense doesnt matter from who or where...right ?

I do muay thai by the way but still ...OSU !!!

  • @gameboy010203 Dear, OSU.Thank you for your nice comment, I always try my best and I think you can always learn from others. Is a circle, like in the kanku, the kyokushin symbol, you will always learn. One thing is important to have in mind. people do mistakes but the best is when people realize they did wrong and then they improve. When I was in Japan I was very impressed by a old japanese that just started Karate, he as black belt in life showed so much respect for younger student......

  • OSU from mexico!

im not from kyokushin but karate is my passion, okinawa karate do mexico sends hugs!

  • OSU, Okinawa Karate is part also of Kyokushin Karate. Actually Shoto Kan is the first Karate in Tokyo (japan) iland. Shoto Kan means the House/shool of Mr Shoto who brought the Okinawa - te to Japan. In URA WAZA - the hidden tecniques is a lot of OKINAWA KARATE as goju ryu and other karate styles.

    Saludos desde España.

    OSU

  • OSU! From Indonesia.

You own the dojo? It's a nice dojo, I like it.

In my hometown we train at a parking lot at night -_-

  • OSU,

No I do not own this dojo, this dojo belongs to my master Hong Park in South Korea. Now days I am in Barcelona, Spain where I have a small Dojo. search kankukan in google and you will find it. Thanks for your comments

    OSU

  • Respect - OSU - I should train like this for just half hour :-D .... uuuuuh Mas Oyama in the background !!!! - Then I could endure for a quarter of an hour more !

  • OSU, Thanks for your comment...

city of Shihan Francisco Filho has a dojo

    great video

  • OSU, I know your master, I have meet him in Japan. Great fighter... thanks for your post... OSU

  • this is not ichigeki! You lied to meh! *cries* cries some more*

  • ichi gecki = strike with one hit and defeat the opponent. These are trainings to gain condition, power and accuracy. In South Korea they call this Ichi gecki training because is a hard training. Is also as a motivation. Hope you understand this point. Thanks

    OSU

  • lol funny music! good training osu!

Gracias... en chile hay entrenos muy buenos!!! y buenos dojos...

    OSU

  • I started about 6 mnoths ago, I just got my orange belt, and Im soo happy I got 3rd at my first tournament 3 months ago. OSU

  • OSU,

Nice, very well done, the first belt is important and a big step also to fight in tournament. A 3rd place is a very good achievement, continue like this.. keep training.

    Thanks for your post.

    OSU

  • Yes, we almost train like you, but I'm thinking I need more disciple, I used to train only twice a week when I went to the Dojo, then I was doing it every over day. I am now realising, it's becoming a lifestyle to me. It used to be a hobby, I started karate because I liked anime. Now I am getting more into it.

OSU, thank you for your words, it is an inspiration, I will continue to do my trainng extensively. OSU!

  • OSU, pure kyokushin words.. thanks for charing and keep training.

    OSU

  • wow, your dojo's training is harder than mine

  • OSU,

I would like to have a dojo like this one, I had the honor to teach and learn at Sensei Hong Park's Dojo in Korea.

Now in the dojo I have in Spain, smaller, I willl keep the same idea of training.

HARD TRAINING, Technique, endurance etc... OSU

  • osh,

How long does it take to get to black belt, I trained for half a year and get yellow, what's the highest DAN in black belt? My sensei was DAN-4.

Karate is becoming 1 of my favorite sports.

The technique is not much complicated but packs a punch XD.... OSH

  • OSU,

Around 5 years but you got your yellow belt very fast. In kyokushin yellow belt is the 3rd colour belt (without counting the white)

The Highest dan is 10th and only Sosai Mas Oyama has it, at today KAncho Royama has 9th DAN.

in my web page you can read about the grades and aprox time.

    thanks... keep training

    OSU

  • OSH

    Thx 4 the info

    OSH

  • OSU

  • Osu if you guys ever find your self in Washington DC Phoenix Karate Kyokushinkai would be happy to have you and train very hard

  • OSU, Thank you a lot for your invitation. Now I am in Barcelona Spain, I have my own place so, you are aslo welcome if you some day find your self here.

    Thanks... OSU

  • Nice video. Have you trained anything else, exept karate? I do Shotokan

  • OSU, thanks, yes I did some thaiboxing when I was in Thailand, also I did Taikiken in Japan with Kansho Royama. Now also I am practicing some Yoga and is really good training and as a complement to Karate. ShotoKan is the first "JAPANESE" Karate brought from OKINAWA. the name of Karate started with ShotoKan before that it was Okinawate. OSU...

  • I have to tell you, I`ve trained in Wales, Australia and Japan (5 years) and the best and hardest training has NOT been in Japan..

  • where It has been?

  • I think is depends a lot, I had very hard training in Sweden, Spain, Germany, Thailand and in South Korea. I was also in Japan and the training was very hard too. Sometimes is not so hard, for all places other times is like hell ;-) This video is from my training in South Korea. I think is up to everyone to do it hard. I like tuff, demanding and hard training.. kyokushin for real... OSU

  • not? What dojo in japan have you trained? What was the hardest training?

  • Sorry didn't read the other comments. Nevermind.

  • Is OK no problem, the dojo in Japan was in Saitama Ken in Nishi Kawagushi at Main Honbu of Kancho Royama Kyokushin-Kan.

    OSU

  • I love the pushups from the guy next to the sensei. His ass is higher upp than his head. ^^

  • Osu... I did not see that... is true... anyhow I can tell you the training was really hard... nice to remember now after almost 2 years ago... I miss the nice training in Asia..

    Thanks for your comment... OSU

    ;-)

  • Yeah i can only imagine. Its been a dream of mine to train in japan for many years. Only problem is that i would like to go for at least a year and my old lady and son arent to thrilled about that ^^ Well well..... one can always dream i guess. :)

  • Is good to dream but to have a family is incredible and really nice and I would not change that.

I was lucky, I had the opportunity but it was hard too, I lived in South Korea but I went to japan 3 times for training and the longest time was 1 month. Maybe some day, .. some day.. good luck and thanks for your post.

    OSU ;-)

  • 1:11 are those fingertip pushups or knuckle pushups?

  • knuckle (fists) pushups, but we also do fingertips...

    OSU

  • knuckle

  • what is the song? OSU

  • This is kyokushin song from the 90' when Mas Oyama was alive. Talks about karate, kyokushin and ichigeki. One of the songs..

    OSU

  • Osu!

Im no kyokushin karateka, Im shotokan karateka, but Im really interested in K.K. though there are no kyokushin karate in my country, Im well experienced in shotokan karate and lookin forward to start my training in the forest (alone lol) Ive read a lot of kyokushin, I really love this style, great video though, keep it up!

    Osu! :)

  • OSU,

Thank you very much, shotokan is the first Japanese Karate brought from Okinawa (from okinawa-te) to the japan island. all karate have it special essence but for me Kyokushin is very special. Kyokushin comes from shotokan and from goju-ryu or the okinawa karate style. Anyhow, I think you can find in your country. Did you try all organisations? Kyokushin-kan, shinkyokushin, IFK,.. important is the mind and you have a deep kyokushin mind... thanks for your post. Keep training. OSU

  • Osu!

No problem, you are welcome, yes Im from Bosnia and we actually dont have that style here I think...sadly.

But there are a lot of taekwondo WTF schools here...they are talkin bad stuff about karate and how karate comes from hapkido...thats not true wtf lol, thats like saying that soccer comes from baseball.

But I heard stories that judo, hapkido, aikido and karate actually comes from jiu jitsu, is that true?I actually dont know...

    Thanks, Osu!

  • OSU,

Sad you can't find any kyokushin dojo.. well, I think is not correct to talk bad about other martial arts. Is different and you can have preferences. Karate does not come from Hapkido, actually hapkido is from aikido and aikido from jiu jitsu if I'm not wrong. They say that jiu jitsu is the mother of all arts. In case of Karate is coming from Okinawa-te and previously from tode (1600 to okinawa from China) and before that from India (shorinji kempo) from a Zen budist called Bodhidarma.

  • Yes, I agree, u know, they are coming at me telling me "karate is wack, it sucks, tkd rules its the best, karate is just an art" they dont show respect to other martial art styles, to adults, to well skilled martial artist, I respect you and your training, its intense I see, Im trying to get the kyokushin kimono though Im not training it, I love the style.

    Osu!

  • OSU,

Here a karategi cost from 35 to 60 eur depending on the quality. But probably you can find in a near country to yours. Good luck with everything and keep training and have a pure martial art mind. Thanks again for your nice comments, I always try to have a bushido mind (is hard... hehe)

    OSU

  • nothing good..

  • OSU,

Thanks, I will try to improve and be better.

    Have a nice day,

    OSU

  • I am 7kyu in Kyokushin karate, and I had started two years ago, but even that period of time I see very mistakes in your technic and other things. The training look nice, but the power of punches and kicks - very weak, and I talk about You becouse the rest of gruop is the 10,9 and 8 kyu and their have a got time to learn this but U are 3 or 2 kyu so everyone expect more from U:) Osu

  • OSU, Many thanks for your insight. I really appreciate, I will hve this in mind. The belt level is not an excuse to not listen to inferior or higher belt levels. I have an open mind to try to learn from all. Thanks

  • PS. The best part of your treining its the part with spring on your fists and legs- I want to check this kind of activitis.

PS2. I'm from Poland, and I'm not english expert so it is a possibility that I made some mistake in my coment.

Osu for everyone who is on kyokushin way!

  • OSU, these kind of criteria are always welcome. My English is not 100% good either. Is clear that your first comment is really bad or with bad attitude.. BUT you shown today a nice way and explained in a good way your thoughts. This part is also Karate. Again, thanks for your honest insight. Take care. OSU

  • Thank for your anserw. I apreciate it that you anserw for every coment :) OSU:)

  • OSU,

    You are welcome

    OSU

  • Nice training and dojo! I'm training kyokushin in Poland.

    OSU!

  • OSU, thanks for your nice comment.

    Keep training..

    OSU

  • is this chuck norris ???

    lol

  • hahaha... ;-) osu

  • it's almost similar to our kyokushin training in holland, actually it is exactly the same, i wish they were open every day here, only 2 times a week...i want to go every day!!

  • Yes, is very similar, I have trained un many countries but this kind of training is part of Kyokushin. Also is important KIHON-Geiko, ura waza, Kata, Ido-geiko, Bunkai kumite, pre arragned kumite and Kumite. The great thing in Korea and Japan is the opening hours despite from europe. In spain is the same as in holland and is quite pitty. I try to train alone to complete the trainings.

    thanks

    OSU

  • sam trenuje kyoku, ale to co pokazali na filmie.. bieda straszna

  • what's the song's name?

    Ossu from Chile!

  • OSU, Disculpa la demora. La cancion es musica que salio durante el periodo de Mas Oyama, es especifica de Kyokushin. No se como se llama el disco y creo que es bastante dificil de conseguir.

envia un email y te digo como conseguir esto.

    OSU

  • very good, i want to learn martial arts, Kyokushin,i am 23, 90 kg,184 cm.Tomorrow will be my first lesson, i can wait.Andy Hug inspired me. this style i think suits me,is good for my conditions and is better than go only to a gym.I don`t want to cheat when i am training.thank you for your video

  • OSU, Thanks for your comments. Cheat is not the way, you only lie to your self. So this is a good start from your side. i hope the best for you and if you have Andy Hug as you insiration.. is great. good luck, you will like it a lot.

    Thanks

    OSU

  • dude nice vid, and that song is awesome! can u send it to me?

    thanks.

    OSU

  • what song is this?

  • OSU,

Is music from IKO1 CD. I do not know the name, sorry.

    OSU

  • Ichigeki? Ryo says that in one of his super moves. I guess kyokugen is based off of kyokushin.

  • Sorry, I do not follow you? Can you please clearify more?

    Thanks

    OSU

  • OSU Senpai (?)

    Nice video!

I agree with kalesm74. All well and good for people to criticize but unless they are willing to show and share their knowledge then their words have no meaning. My instructor all ways tells us that actions speak louder then words.

You look like you have a fantastic bunch of students training at your dojo.

    OSU!

  • OSU Sempai (yes I am Shodan, thanks),

Thank you very much for your nice comments. I like positive criteria so you can learn more, but as you say some people talk to much without thinking first sometimes. Well, this is not my DOJO, some day I will have one. I am one of the main instructors. I had teh great oppotunity to be an instructor, is a great honor and a very good way to learn more. Yes, many students, is great.

I saw some of your videos. Great, really impressed.

    OSU

  • Their techniques are sloppy. I could kick better than them at whitebelt. The principle by any technique is body mechanics. The way in which you execute a kick for example must invoke power. To generate power comes from kinetics. Kinetics comes from technique and so you have to mentally exert yourself into your physical training.

  • OSU,

Thanks for your comments, not everybody put the necesary enfasis and strenght. I will have in mind and push more the students and myself to do better and better.

    OSU

  • Osu,

Good. Make sure they fight a lot and do a lot of cardio-based work. Also what would be good is to have a weighted jacket worn around the body during shadow-boxing this will burn a lot of fat and increase speed. But principally the Greenbelts need to be kicking better than that. Osu

  • OSU,

Thanks for your suggestions. Here many practice 3 to 4 hours per day and they do a lot of fights. I agree on the technique part they fail but they have a lot of spirit and they love kumite. When they fight is like they have it in the blood, they are born with the martial art and they do incredible things. Please see the fights I have uploaded and do constructive comments (as until now - really appreciate). Your recommendations sound very good. Thanks again.

    OSU

  • dont worry about the critisicem they probably have never thrown a kick in there life. Why dont they show evryone how its done.Keep training hard and with your humble attitude.

    OSU

  • OSU,

Thank you for your nice comment. Just now I am in japan for training. Very nice, is a very special feeling.

    keep training,

    OSU

  • OSU!

  • OSU,

please see my other kyokushin videos. I hope you will like.

    OSU

    Krisgomgun

  • Thank you yeah i will see them.

Thanks for posting the great vidoes!

    OSU

  • Looks interesting, but don't you wear any protective gear in Kyokushin (at least mouth guard and groin protection)? And do you have to practice katas a lot?

  • Protections as mouth guard and groin protection are not obligatory. In competition groin protection is mandatory. Other protections for fists and tibia is used when harder kumite. Sometimes we don't use to get use to not have any protections and to hard the different areas of the body. We do Katas ones per week. Katas is something you have to practice often but not necesary in class. In class is teached the katas but perfection require to train by your self at home. This dojo is open 10H/DAY.OSU

  • OK, thanks for your answer!

  • You are welcome,

    OSU

    OSU

  • how is title music in 3.29???

  • I do not know the name of the song. The songs are from IKO1 CD, kyokushin music.

    OSU

    osu

    OSU

  • OSU,

Thank you very much for your comment.

    I appreciate a lot.

    Keep training.

    OSU

  • problem is that I train this hard in my kyokushin and Muay Thai classes. this isn't really ichigeki right?

  • well I just used Ichigecki, I like the name and it stands for hard training, so I guess you can use this name for this. Also true is, more people find this video with that name.

    OSU

Pain is merely a state of mind that can be transmuted to pleasure you see pain and pleasure are twins they have different personalities but the same essence once you break the barrier between the two you reach a state beyond the regular human consciousness.
