CHEERS to khaliamoon for havin' this remix for us all to jam to, keep it comin' (???) - I don't know the female way to say 'bro' so left it ??? Anyway youre the best, keep your beats and b-girl spirit with us!!
you guys which mushroom jazz track is it where a lady says "i need to be in an atmosphere that is free , open" Also.. another track or maybe it's on the same track but a lady says "dancing for me is like unconscience therapy" and she talks about dancing in circles.
@electronictrip I have the entire MP3 of the entire disk. Do you want it? PM me ur email and I will send it.
The quote:
"I need to be in an atmosphere that is free, that is open, that is striving for truth, and not someone dictating to you how to do your thing which you know how to do better than anybody else"
the only thing I don't like about mushroom and acid jazz are those gay ass clips from like 50's instructional videos that alllllllll artists throw in the mix - sure it sounded cool thrown in like once, but why does that need to be an element in the genre? It kills the hard ass beat!!
@mackles I hear you. There are a few I like. Like the ending to #4 when the guys talk about vinyl. Some can be kinda boring. But yes, the beats are TOO hard. The basslines are insane! I still listen to my six volumes of MJ. I don't have 7 yet. But 1-6 get crazy ipod play. #2,4 and 5 get the most from me. (2 gets crazy love!)
@khaliamoon yeah you're right, the clips do mix nicely in some songs - I'm glad you commented on this so I could hear it again, this is way too chill, bass so deep.
I'm pretty sure the "uhhh" vocal sound is from the PUTS song E Business, but don't know a thing about where "like a hip hop sound" comes from. When you think bout it, it's a ton of work to put together several samples for just one track, much of that taking the form of trial and error.
@KarlBonner1982 The "like a hip hop sound" is from A Tribe Called Quest. I can't remember the song. But yes, a lot of work WAS put into this song for real. One of my favorites!
@KarlBonner1982 PUTS song E business as dope as it is, is a taken from A Tribe Called Quest's Verses from the Abstract, arguable one of the best hip-hop songs of all time.
But it's good to see others enjoying PUTS, they are the same record label as farina, and a lot of other dope hip-hop and beat artists.

@mackles I dunno, it is what it is. You get it in a lot of underground hip-hop; the two Jurassic 5 DJs Cut Chemist and Numark do it all the time.

@Lusheris Yep! Its the song that fades out as "Wick Wack" fades in. "No" is a mellow tune. I love it! Thanks for the 411!
