  • how much it cost?

  • A tourbillon in an automatic mechanical? Call me stupid, and will be happy to stand corrected, but I thought that was impossible.

  • that's a real seagull tourbillon for everyone asking.

  • @Ilanactingreel That's not a tourbillon. It's simply an open heart design with the seconds hand directly over the balance.

  • @Nebraskahusker23

your right but i like to cause ruckus :)

  • @Ilanactingreel Oh I gotcha. I actually have a watch that has the same exact thing. Looks pretty cool, and I sure as hell wish it were a real toubillon.

  • @Nebraskahusker23

have you heard of Aatos. They produce 350 dollar tourbillons that look pretty nice.

  • @Ilanactingreel I haven't. I've seen a lot of flying tourbillons on Ebay for cheap but I don't think I've come across Aatos before.

  • @Nebraskahusker23

aatos doesn't currently have a flying tourbillon model. I think they use the hangzhou tourbillon which is still really nice. There is another company selling flying tourbillons for 300 on ebay as well

  • @Ilanactingreel Yeah, I looked them up a day after seeing your comment and I like the look of theirs much more than the flying ones.

  • Looks like a Sea-gull TY-2505 movement to me. This employs a geared vane riding over the balance which is powered by the seconds hand gear, so they move at exactly the same time. Cool, but not a tourbillon in any way. This movement has 38 jewels and the winding rotor bearing rides on a ball bearing cage, not just simply a center screw like cheaper Chinese movements. I believe Louis Bolle has a model called the Crevasse in there 2006 collection that uses the same movement.

  • I jus ordered one - hopefully it doesnt look too bad.But seriously dont we all think why alot of watches these days are over hype and over price..Are they worth their weight? I dont think so..I have a nephew who works for a reputable watch retailer..He could get 50% off the original price..So we see how much it really is worth its weight..While I agree there is the over head for those reputable brands but it definately is way over charge..

  • Is this a real Tourbillon movement or is a fake? I mean, in some other watches i saw a different kind of movement called Tourbillon...

  • @lucatn This is not a tourbillon.

  • @kiscsicsak Ok. Why do the seconds hands don't indicate the same? Is there a way to sync them?

  • @kiscsicsak indeed
