I have Sky Sports , but I was definitely with the people upset about it leaving free to air. However, a combination of how awesome F1 having its OWN CHANNEL is, the no commercial interruption in the races, Brundle going to Sky, and the general over-whingeyness of the anti-Sky people has led me to the conclusion... screw 'em :-D

It doesn't effect me becuase I have Sky HD but it should have stayed on BBC.

BBC had to give up its exclusivity rights as they have been ordered by the government to make cuts. BBC preferred to keep Wimbledon and The Open Golf Championship. BBC didn't have the money to carry on. So they actually went to Bernie and told him the situation so Bernie had to find other channels. Channel 4 bidded the same price as what Sky did but I know which channel I'd prefer doing F1.

Sky and its love for ads will kill this channel, even though the race is uninterrupted, things like the build up and post race interviews will be a pain with all those nonsense ads about car insurance or whatever!

@MastrEcko If they'd taken the other option of staying free to air and going to Channel 4 there still would have been adverts and there's no way C4 could afford to have no commercial interruptions in the races.
