Whether you loved or hated them, you just can't argue their success both in and out of the ring. There was no one like them in this business and no one can ever duplicate them. They brought WCW some of the highest gate earnings one could ever imagine. With them in main events, no promoter could lose! They were basically the best the business had to offer and they were true professionals. My hats off to all of them!
The fact that jj was still able to cut amazing manager promos in a group with guy like ric and arn show how great of a manager he was right up there with bobby the brain
@rosario508 They just dont want to show what a promo is supposed to look like. All of that media training they give Orton and Cena and they still cant cut a great promo to save their lives.
@freddy333ful A huge reason why these old promos are so good is that the wrestlers were not delivering lines from a script written by failed sitcom writers. They used their creativity and improvisational skills to convey their message, which is where the passion and heart came from. Imagine Dusty Rhodes doing his "Hard Times" promo repeating lines somebody else wrote for him and having to do so word for word.
You know watching these old promos, and seeing how much of a nut flair was back then and knowing how hes been getting crazier and crazier over time its a miracle he didn't die of a heart attack years ago, but then again he is out of his mind. FOUR HORSEMEN RULE!!!
This is the era of wrestling in 1987 that i discovered the NWA and a superior brand of actual wrestling then the cartoony WWF and Hulkamania garbage. These guys cut promos like the legends they all deserve to be. They should make a training tape of all the horsemen interviews for all up and coming pro wrestlers to study cuz this is how its done by four of the best! WOOOOOO!
@rstryker27 They can't figure it out because they don't want to. Their main focus is on the little annoying bastard kids and their soccer parent's nothing else. Why anyone else than that watches the shit tv now a days is beyond me.
@kolz4ever1980 bcuz that's all we've got to remind us of the "good ole days"...a couple of years ago, TNA seemed to be going in that direction until as always bischoff and hogan f*ed it up again
@Styme2002 People say that about TNA but I always thought it was trash since 2008 or so when I stopped watching. That was due to watching more and more wwe left overs and never was people come there just like wcw and to this day it doesn't feel any different. Even the woman's devision sucks compare to the time when gail kim, roxxy, and when the TBP were heels. I used like that division back then because they were taking some hard hits and putting on good matches. Now TNA is just another wcw.
DJ Bruce and Bobby Jefferson could defeat the Horseman. They are the 5 times World Woodrow and North Main Street Tag Team Champions. Baby doll whooooooooo!
I'm not sure if anyone noticed but that is definitely the original "Big Gold Belt". I say that because the leather is brown as opposed to the black leather used in the later years.
i wish someone had the footage of Flair getting the Big Gold from Crockett, it was an impromptu ceremony...that original Big Gold...is Sick....!!!!!! one of the great belts ever...next to my favorite belt of all time...the world tv title...
@jfromulus Oh come on now; with all due respect. The Ric Flair of WCW fame circa 1999, when he was "Preident" of the Company, was just as crazy and just as HILARIOUS as he was here.
How can you not love the horsemen? No heel stable has EVER come close to them. The NWO were over for a while but couldn't wrestle, and could not get the faces over like the Horsemen. Horsemen could work and talk!
u have 2 ALSO remember that the 'boys &/or the houston oilers probably werent doing 2 well...in dallas's case,it was the end of the landry era...i dont remember much about the oilers during that time...sorry that my memories of that period of time!!!
its weird 2 see a guy from san antonio,tx wear a ny giants sweatshirt...even if it was around the time they were in their 85-86 SB title hunt...maybe its just me!!!
