I am from Canada. People in my large family have/had cancer, MS, diabetes, stroke, heart attacks, car accidents, retina problems, etc.

All of us still own our own houses. None of us have gone broke.

I have a lot of Friends in Canada. They all say they would never give up their present system for the health care we have in the US.

Most of the Canadian system is simply a walk in basis with less then a 20 minute wait to see the Doctor. When my Friends have to schedule an appointment, it rarely takes longer than 2 weeks to see a Doctor.

As far as the fact that he isn't always transparent, I would probably agree with you, but in your original post you were criticizing him for communicating with the public through the media. Either he is abusing his use of the media, or he isn't being transparent, not both (One does not necessarily exclude the other, but in this specific case and taking into account what the president says in these videos, I believe they do).

This administration has been anything but transparent. Just because the president enjoys hearing himself talk and the rockstar lifestyle does not make him transparent.

Keep in mind that every major piece of legislation since he took office has been forced through without much thought. For example, a stimulus plan that was the thickness of 4 epic novels which was voted on overnight. The only reason they are patient on health care is because they want to see the polling trends on this hot issue.

Tell me, how cutting care for the current sick and disabled who cant afford health care coverage or the medicare co-pays will provide coverage to 50 million other people and exactly what will be covered for them that we barely have coverage for now?

He wants to root out fraud and waste not care for for the sick and disabled. For example in Miami they recently busted a clinic that had billed Medicare millions fraudulently. In fact this is a common occurrence down here and I'm sure it is happening all over the country.They get seniors info and start billing like they are patients; or they bill for test and procedures they never gave to existing patients. 200 billion in fraud and waste is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
