  • I feel dizzy and only heard (understood) the last words of the song - the title, but it's a pretty cool groove. I still don't know how that chick can play guitar with mittens! Wild group.

  • Loved Buffalo Daughter. Saw them at Sudsy's in Cincinnati in the late 90's. Very unique sound, cool low-fi drum beats.

  • good video

  • 五大湖という歌ならシカゴで撮影された方が良かったんじゃないか。。

  • @samarabob - またはトロント。そして英語では名前が違うね。The Great Lakes. 「5」は英語で変。でも音楽は一番大切、ビデオの場所より。

  • I Love Buffalo Daughter and Cibo Matto

  • thanks for posting that video

  • wow!! :D

  • oh the good old days! 120 minutes was one of the best shows ever. Now they only have crap on TV! Great song too!

  • I miss Buffalo Daughter. One of the greatest shows I ever saw @ the CMJ music Fest. Awesome DJ. & Cornelius wow. Haven't listened to this stuff in awhile.

  • I miss 120 minutes and Dave Kendall

  • Great video, Great song!!

  • I used to have a box full of VHS tapes with "120 Minutes" favorites on them. It is probably in a family member's attic somewhere in North America. Some lucky archaeologist will find it someday...

    Thanks uploading this one!

  • @veloboy Me too! I used to tape it every Sunday night. I saw Matt Pinfield a couple of years ago in Los Angeles and threw a shit fit.

  • Rad! I'd only heard the Cornelius remix.

  • Ah, the good old days when the M stood for music, not mediocrity.

Buffalo Daughter is BAD ASS. I saw them in concert at the Rising Sun Rock Festival '08. First time I had heard of them. Blew my mind man.

  • nice... anyone else noteworthy play there?

  • hell yeah. Shonen Knife, Beat Crusaders, Shiina Ringo, Tokyo Jihen, Ken Tanaka, Quruli, Ego-Wrappin, The Back Horn, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra....it was amazing! Shit load of bands

  • MTV was always mediocre at best even when they used to play music. There's always MTV2 if you wanna pay a bit extra.

  • Oh, and you had to stay up until midnight to watch 120 minutes if you wanted to hear any decent music. Now Shonen Knife... there is a forgotten band. See if you can find an album by them called Pretty Little Baka Guy. It is very hard to obtain. Maybe I'll upload some of the unreleased tracks.

  • @ranjihabarnabab

Actually, Pretty Little Baka Guy is easy to find. And it's cheap. And one of my favorite albums!

  • @windfish55 It may be cheap, but it is difficult to find. Proof: click this google shopping search and all you see are used copies only available on inferior media (e.g. tape cassette and CD) One of my favorites too! I wanna eat chocobars!

  • AWESOME!

  • MTV killed music!!! (And JFK...MTV also killed JFK. maybe if i say it enough times people will believe it, like they believe how important the channel is)

  • Absolutely love this song still. Thank you for uploading it. :D

  • Got to love this one!

  • haha... the real world??? you mean SOFT CORE PORNO THEATER NOW!

  • Wow, and I thought I was the only person who remembers MTV actively trying to hype Buffalo Daughter.

120 minutes was an awesome show to catch new music, and bands.

Amp...Yeah, that one just makes me bitter.

So yeah, what about that new episode of The Real World?
