I agree, and disagree. Things like what price did here is fine. But some goalies get too carried away very quickly. Being screened is part of the game, and thats where defencce somes into play. They need to get that guy out of the way. When goalies start 2-handing guys behind the legs, and cross-checking them in the back and making guys miss shifts, thats too much, and things to that extreme need to be stopped

If you wanna plant yourself in front of a goalie--first of all you're pretty brave, but second you have to know you're gonna be paying for it the whole time you're there.
exactly. I play amateur ball hokcey, and I'm the in front of the night guy. And when I plant myself there, I know whats coming.lol. And thats to be expected. It's part of my role in the position and style I play. Having said that, when I have to miss 3 shifts because my back has goalie stick marks in it because I get 2-handed by the goalie, I'm pissed off lol. Bertuzzi always got excessive slashes and stuff and penalties were never called because he was a big guy. I hated that too

@biomecaNICK The rules are basically if you end up preventing the goalie from making the save by either a) blocking his movement or b) pushing him away from the puck, the goal can be called back & you MIGHT get a goalie interference penalty. Sometimes, if the infraction is serious enough, the guy might get a goalie interference penalty regardless of whether or not a goal was scored on the play. In fact, often if a goal IS called back, there's no penalty. Is this what you were asking? Let me know

Okay, let's take it slow. I said Carey Price will be a dominating goalie in the NHL once the team in front of him is finally worthy of playing. This season we had late injuries to our most important players (Markov &Schneider) our offense was lacking, (Tanguay injured), and many players were under performing. So, how do u expect him to make such an impact? When the Canadiens adjust he will too and then the hockey world will see his talent.
His rookie season was great judging by the fact that he was called up in the juniors in the middle of the seaon and expected to replace Huet automatically. His sophomore season was a slump because the canadiens had a nightmare 100th season. But, with the changes were making over the summer i think his senior year will be one to watch.

He won MVP during the Calder Cup and Team Canada Juniors and its just about time he wins the Con Smythe for the Stanley Cup. Theo and Price and EASILY comparable, Theo had one big season (2002) where he won the Vezina and Hart and helped upset the Bruins twice in 3 years as the lower seeded team. after 2002 season you habs fans were pretty much all lining up ready to suck his dick and sing his praises, then he had a shitty season or two compared to the season before and guess wat? you faggots booed him just like what u r doing to Price now because he isnt doing as good as you wanted, even though its the team that suck

Okay, let's take it slow. I said Carey Price will be a dominating goalie in the NHL once the team in front of him is finally worthy of playing. This season we had late injuries to our most important players (Markov &Schneider) our offense was lacking, (Tanguay injured), and many players were under performing. So, how do u expect him to make such an impact? When the Canadiens adjust he will too and then the hockey world will see his talent.

His rookie season was great judging by the fact that he was called up in the juniors in the middle of the seaon and expected to replace Huet automatically. His sophomore season was a slump because the canadiens had a nightmare 100th season. But, with the changes were making over the summer i think his senior year will be one to watch.

Since when did i say that our team was great? I know MTL is in a rebuilding phase and that's fine with me. We will prbably only be keeping KOvalev as a UFA and also Tanguay. We have players like PK Subban and Webber that are coming into the team. We might be getting Beauchemin to stengthen our defense. I guarantee you Price wants to stay in MTL for the rest of his career. He was a very high draft ppick and Gainey will never give him away. Price says that MTL is the only place he wants to play.

Yes the defense is lacking on the lines, and no I cannot do better than any professional hockey player. But that doesn't make me wrong, either. It's called teamwork for a reason, and when you have a young, cocky goalie who has an attitude who doesn't back up his saving average, it makes the whole team look bad.

the only thing you've gotten right is the fuckload of bad movements. That's because Montreal's goalie coach (same one who corrupted MVP Theodore into a mediocre goalie and Huet into a piece of crap) sucks balls and preaches an ineffective and redundant butterfly to goalies with excellent hybrid style. How can people even rip on Price? He's like 22 years old, you know how young that is for a starting goaltender in the NHL? It's almost absurd. Not 2 mention the added pressure of playing on a popular team like montreal. Wait till the kid's 27, Goalies and Defencemen alike take a little longer to mature than forwards, defensive positions require a lot of attention to detail and strong mental aspect, usually these come with time.
