I think what I like about this interview was that James wasn't bashing religion, he was talking about how the song was a catharsis for him--a way to vent. He's essentially saying, 'Hey, I can talk about whatever I damn well please. They're my songs, if you don't want to hear what I have to say, then don't listen." It's that simple. The mayans were pretty damn close with the moon...scientists and others try to explain using ways that are physical and can only be seen. There are variables that are at work unseen..whether felt or heard,etc. Proof is eliminated for a lot of scientific theories...and it works for religion unless you look into it...there isn't any recorded history that stretches anywhere past several thousand years ago...as far as we know. But then there is the dinosaur argument.

I'm a Christian, but I don't believe in all that Christian Science crap. Nothing against the people that believe in it, but it's just really stupid to me. There's absolutely nothing wrong with medicines and cures and all that. The stuff to make them comes from Mother Earth herself. I mean, it' s not like shots and stuff are made from things that aren't natural.

@decrepitchild Erg. God never fails. What James meant is that his mom, when she had cancer or whatever it was she had, would say "My god will heal me." she died. There is more than one god, but only one TRUE God. Her god wasn't the true god that can heal, so she died. If she had faith in the True God, He would have healed her.
