President Reagan was the worst and the most evil tyrant in history. He is writing a dictatorial decree stating that the US Armed Forces is the welfare department on his say so!!!
The reason for the president is to "Protect and preserve" the constitution not to re-write it like Mr. Barack Hussein Obama wants to do. Screw the re-pubs and screw the demo craps. We need independents like Ronald Reagan even though he was a so called re pub I saw him as a Indie.
We are now living the legacy of Reaganomics, just as those in 1929 were living the legacy of years of deregulation and irresponsible business. We need a new FDR and a new New Deal, and hopefully we have that in President-elect Obama. Culturally things may have been in turmoil, but the late 40s, 50s and 60s were prosperous times. A strong unionized middle-class with a large manufacturing base in key to any healthy economy. Let's get that back!
Let's see if the next eight years prove you right. Let's see if 8 years from now, assuming Obama has a second term, we end with a surplus (like we did with Clinton) or if we end with a gaping deficit, like we did with Reagan and both Bushes. Let's see if Obama introduces a balanced budget in those years--your hero didn't present one to Congress in all his eight years, and he was all about fiscal conservatism and fighting those tax-and-spend liberals. Let's wait and see before we pass judgment.
I voted for this mutt. Huge mistake. Reality is that his dumb ass trickledown theory and his insidious deregulation of everything he touched, is directly responsible for the economic mess that we face today. This phony b-actors economic policies have all but destroyed this once great country.
paulgreenfields: Its embarrassing enough for me to admit that I was actually dumb enough to vote for this third rate actor. His trickledown theory was a complete failure - It only made the rich richer, and led us into the current economic crises. The Wall Street Crooks and the Military Industrial Complex loved Reagan. He was their all time prime puppet. This man ran up the worst national debt in history, until Bush. And dont get me started on Bush.
The debt indeed was large, but overall, the economic situation under Reagan was way better than under Carter, and not to mention that Carter had a Democratic Senate, so he had no justification, no war, no natural hurricanes, or anything unusual. Bush lead, to my view (and I'm not a bush fan) lead pretty well for the first 4 years, however the predidency startedeating him alive thereafter.
paulgreenfields: Im an Independent. I voted for Nixon, Ford, Bush, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Baby Bush. Reagan was easy to like. He was a b- actor and a complete failure as president. I like the fact he was able to cross party lines and bring the country together. But he was an ACTOR. His dumb-ass trickledown theory was a total disaster for the middle class. I voted for that Myth. But that was then. Im willing to admit my mistakes. Reagan did his best to make the rich richer.
This man ran up the worst national debt in history, until now. Missile defense, Star wars, airport deregulation -- all terrible wastes of money and safety, and none of them worked as advertised.
If only we had another president like Reagan. I could look up to Reagan because he was a good man and a good president. Reagan is by far one of our best presidents. He rocked. Hes credited with helping ablolish communist rule in Russia. He once said that the Soviet Union is the most corrupt nation ever. I agree with him. The Soviet Union is the worst country that ever existed. The Soviet Union was our worst enemy during the Cold War.

I hate to say it but you left wing anti Reagan people know nothing. Your all a waste of time! Reagan built up the US military at a time when the USSR could not afford to do the same. It worked so well.
Sadly though we are heading for Cold War 2 with Russia. I wonder who will win the new Cold War!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(
Cold War ended in 1989 when Berlin Wall was taken down. Clinton did nothing about terrorism and 9/11 landed on Bush's lap. Now Saddam is dead and Taliban out of power - not a bad record at all.
He prolonged the cold war with arms build ups, made the poor poorer with "trickle down economics". With all due respect, it was the work of presidents eisenhower and kennedy that began the collapse of the USSR. Not to mention that gorbachev was a decent guy and a reformer. They deserve the credit, not him.
Not perfect, but better than Obama will ever be.
