hi i have a 73 or 74 sears suburban model 917.25740 it has the 16 hp over head valve and i want to fully restore it my question is they came with 2 different colors of paint 1 being Bamboo or Aztec gold. as the main color how can i find out which one i need to use to restore it to the way it rolled out of the factory

I have almost all make a models, although i have only had time to restore 1. so that tells you i loose intrest. but i would love to sell parts or whole tractors, Including 7 sears s/16 an 1 sears s/18 so if you want some help im your guy!

Just ran across the group looking up vintage Sears/Gardenaid info. Have posted a few pulling/plowing videos and hope to do a few more this next show season as I learn how to use my camera. Our oldest 4 wheeler is a Wagner Little Giant 450, also have a 1-wheel Choremaster, several Planet Jr Tuffys, Garden Aids, etc. Lawn mowing with MF6/MF7H, Wheelhorses, a worn Dynamark and Sears LT1000. Briefly had some pullers here but not into that. Oh yeah, some Linns, a FWD and Cletrac, and antique saws.
Good job guys! Just passing time on this snowy winter day and found your group. I hope to do a restoration on a Sears SS15 soon and will upload video if possible.
I've just bought a '67 Sears Suburban 12 that I intend to do a "working resto" on, and will do a video series on it soon. I am also on the lookout for a Cub 109, 129 or 149.
