It all looks really beautiful when you cannot see all the hotels perched right above the beach. It was great 20 years ago, empty and quiet, and it's a real shame that it has been spoilt by overdevelopment and hundreds of tourists bussed in daily. Pity!
Went there 3 months ago and miss it so much was one of my fave holidays such a beautyful place, perfect for those who enjoy the simple scenic things coz their aint not sky scrapers which make it so peaceful and the don pedro was the most amazing hotel, the staff, the people all so freindly we had some good laughs on the evenings!!! thanks for putting this up it is so surreal being bak home after that holiday!!!
i have been on holiday at don pedro for the past week and arrived home today i had a brilliant time and was sad to leave i would recommend the place to anyone. the beach the hotel and the entire island of majorca is beautiful if it wasnt for the rest of my family and my girlfriend i could live there i will definetely go back there again x
I proposed to my Wife on the beech here 3 years ago, and we are planning to go back with our little girl very soon, we will probably stop at the Don Pedro as before. It might not be a masterpiece of architecture but the amazing surroundings and the friendly people more than make up for it!.

@pitkin77 Yes - it's a great place isn't it? We had a fantastic holiday in the area up in the mountains (the side of Mallorca that lots of people aren't aware of). And we're getting married a week tomorrow - so it must be something in the water there...
I guess that's the hotel you can see the corner of in the video. Most of the video is looking out to sea and the hotel's behind. I'm not sure I'd call it a massive eye-sore, but it's certainly out of place - I'm sure it's comfortable to stay in but the design looks a bit rabbit-hutch like! I suppose some people see ugliness in things, and some the beauty - I choose the latter.
I lolled at how your pictures all miss out the massive eye-sore that is the Don Pedro hotel. Also, the waves suggest it was a very rough day when those photos were taken. There generally are very weak waves at this location.
