  • Hi are there anyone from UK to ask .

    plz wite soon .

  • Nice speech Ed, lets hope you keep to your word. In the meantime could you please help me sort a travel pass out for my son to attend school. He cannot have a travel pass unless he is going to a faith school and is muslim or catholic in my area of North Lincolnshire. You state "every child matters" My son at the moment matters to no one but me.Next week my son will not be able to attend school, as he has no travel pass, this means he will have to stay at home with me.

  • Although learning in an ideal world would be personalised, it actually doesn't work very well in a classroom, because the teacher can't spread himself/herself that thinly; they all start playing up. Children do pretty well in lockstep and the teachers can do better if they have group targets rather than trying to match different targets to all of the learners (this takes ages) and then trying to assess whether they have met them all!!

  • Ed seems to understand the core issues in a genuine and committed way. I look forward to a realistic, pragmatic, and sustained drive to improve education - without grinding us teachers into the ground. Standards work is far more important than structures, including time and help for teachers to develop and improve their practice. Congratulations Ed an a great start - now let's see what you can deliver, and let's all enjoy the ride.
