Looks like an A game to me. Difficult to hear the music to tell if it truly has a musical basis but its got flavor and its got quality. Hard to say what the competition was like too but if "its not Bachata to me" is the only thing you can fault it on then step up and bring your A game.

i luv this video but the comments below are dumb! i live in NYC and here the only people who dance bachata are them 2 stupid to learn mambo. at bachata congressos the crowds fall asleep during performances from boredom. look at all the videos in youtube. bachata = boring. bachata is an art and art is supposed to chage. these 2 are taking bachata in the right direction and put on good show -just listen 2 crowd. Luv it! more mambo dancers should bachata to make it more entertaining like this.

They learned it in the country when it was still considered taboo to dance. I agree that this is not the way bachata was first danced, but if we were to follow your reasoning then we would still be dancing plena, bomba and guaganco; chacha and mambo would be non-existent.

Listen, maybe I missed something from the Bachata manual so I proffer to you the opportunity to teach a workshop or two at my studio to show us how to dance Bachata the way it was "meant" to be danced - you know, the right way. wtf is this....lol ... they have nice moves, but come on this is not bachata... i bet they dance salsa on 2... and coming from a person that dances salsa 0n 2 n 1, merengue n bachata.... there is nothing worst then seeing a salsero on 2 or 1 dance bachata .... it doesnt flow with the music... bachata is not meant to be danced this way...lol... u can catch my point i f u grew up dancing bachata... i see this in plenty of social... and it just crazy... but nice spins and turns, leave it for salsa

@Dmeri10 THIS IS PERFORMANCE BACHATA, an evolution that serves the purpose of not only expressing artistic movement through dance, but also to spread bachata and appreciation of the music. So though u may hate watching bachata danced this way be careful how u say it, for you may be critiziced for DANCING MAMBO ON 1, the way it was never meant to be danced. Thats the beauty of dance, it evolves with the times, as should you.
