Every ice hockey player knows that for butt-ending you get major penalty every time. Reason for that rule is that butt-ending is potentially very harmfull and can cause injury. It's same deal with spearing and kicking: those are not part of this game.

Did it hurt or not, that act was anyway just so stupid and didn't really show sportsmanship.
