  • Thanks so much!

  • What? You cant cheat an BUY the helmet!

  • brilliant, great tut!

  • there is one little thing you forgot, rebel pilots where white hoods under their helmets

  • ULTRA-AWESOME!!!

  • thanks for all these man, I am gonna go as luke as a X-Wing pilot next year, (x-wing pilot costume plus light sabre) and your video's have already proven themselves an extremely valuable reference.

Just to share, I will be getting my sister to sew me a jumpsuit made of "orange twill" (which is a denim-like material closest I could find at fabricland to jumpsuit material). They also have the silver straps (I didn't see 2" wide, only smaller) and plenty of velcro for the costume.

  • Your costumes are pro! Another great video tutorial.

  • I'm looking at my Power of the Force Luke Pilot action figure (who's actually in the HOTH flight suit) and that tube going from the chest box is run through the side of the left leg down.

    Just in case this helps!

Your flight suit looks GREAT!! I'm all jealous over here! ^_^

  • i love you're costumes

    and nice weapons at 6:34

  • Thanks for Stormtrooper vid, this one is my second choice for Holloween. Thanks!

  • all of your costumes are so acurate!!!!!!!!!!!! and your videos are so awesome 1,000/1,000 keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!

  • Its cool how you are one of the few people who doesn't care entirely about screen accuracy.

  • good job

  • i would be the piolot that doesnt die

  • This won't make it into the Rebel Legion will it? :C

  • Nope. The Rebel Legion and the 501st are Nazis about screen accuracy. To get in either one, you'll have to spend the big bucks.

This costume is not intended for the Legion--it's intended for people who want to make low-budget fan films.

  • @lflank To be fair, since both the 501st and Rebel Legion are recognized by Lucasfilm as the official costuming groups, the screen accuracy guidelines are exacting for a reason.

Both groups have extensive costume making forums with resource links and tutorials. The emphasis is on learning new skills (ie sewing, metal or leather work) rather than just purchasing a costume.

Having said that, for a quick, quick and impressive costume, great job!

  • @lflank the video might be low budget but that costume has a really good quality

  • @lflank >nazis about screen accuracy

    ...

  • @waruishoujo To be fair, Rebel Legion standards are exacting because they are recognized by Lucasfilm as the premier Rebel costuming group. While this fellows quick and cheap costume looks pretty neat to Joe Public (& I applaud his efforts) it's not very screen accurate,

The Rebel Legion site has loads and loads of links, tutorials and forum entrys on making the pilot costume (& many others) accurately without a huge expense. It usually means more "sweat investment" than cash.

  • You have too many leg flares, it's only 8, not 10.

  • cool. i have a space camp fligh suite so could i use it. i cant wait to finish it. cool costume

  • very creative, great tutorial.

  • Your work are amazing Sir!, I need your support with the Vest , i will send you and PM , with the details of my question..

    thanks..

  • dude you did a great fucking job oh that

  • you should make a rebel endor suit

oh btw i have a light saber vid and you were the one who inspired me to do it :)

  • wow lol

  • man, this looks so awsome! cant believe that home made stuff can look so brilliant!

  • very very good. excellent tutorial.

  • i have to say that i just love, what you do for your self and al os Star wars fans... keep up the good work

May the force be with you : )

  • @wiplock2 I tottaly agree xD

  • where did you buy your rebel helmet?

  • what did you paint your rebel helmet with

  • I spray painted the base colors, then used permanent magic marker for the detailing.

  • Cool !! Just a tip ! You should paint some weathering effects on the helmet and the panel. Add thin layers of washes and make some drybrushing etc.

Dust, carbon and oil stains etc.

Some small detail work and that custome will rock !!!!

  • same here

    :)

  • please answer soon

  • what would you want to be lflank

  • I'd be an X Wing pilot.

    :)

  • @lflank I'd pilot a Z-95 Headhunter :3

  • Dude ur really gd at this stuff, u could make alot money on ebay if ur not already, look 4ward to more prop vids ;]

    CC111

  • is there a cheaper helmet to buy?

  • Not if you want it to look right. You can use an old motorcycle helmet or something, but then you'll need to make the mohawk ridge at the top and the rams-horns at the sides.

  • So many T.V. dinners, Im worried you arent eating very well. LOL

  • awesome!

  • Maybe I'll say it again but I love your films!!!

  • Dont Y-Wing pilots also wear the X-Wing pilot uniforms. If so, it shoud be a X-Wing/Y-Wing pilot costume.

  • Yep.

The snowspeeder pilots also wore the same thing.

    :)

  • you should make the following: Imperial officer

    rebel trooper and darth vader

  • this is sooo cool! im gonna subscribe on you forever!

  • the only difference with the snowspeeder pilots is they wear white gloves and their flight suits have more insulation including more neck protection but your work has amazed me. nice job man. you are a master of art. nice job on the predator too. new movie for the predator franchise coming out soon by the way :)

  • Good work

  • i think you fergot about the belt for screen ac but who cares good job dude!

  • Yep, I forgot the belt.

To make the belt, you need, well, a belt.

    :)

  • you may be thinking oh god not this guy again hehe, i decided to make this costume im cheating abit though im buying the vest hehe. ill send a video response [if i can] once i finished it btw i embedded your video to my site while im making this so i hope you dont mind :)

  • I would love to see an ARC Trooper

  • those "data things" are called code cylinders

  • all your vids made my favorits list

  • Really good! 5 stars (as usual :) )

  • awesome

  • cool!!!!! you should make a luke skywalker bespin costume!!! that would be awesome

  • awesome

  • couldn't you also get an old mortorcycle helmet and customize it?

  • Yep. You'd have to modify it to add the "rams horn" on the sides and the "mohawk" ridge along the top.

  • make a jedi costume next please

  • Very Nice custom Rebel Pilot outfit 5/5 Stars. :D

  • Nice videos, dude. I was just wondering, if you made those swords and shields yourself. How did you do that? I mean I kinda wanna make classical antiquity-style swords and shields.

  • I made the shield, the crossbow, the spear and the longbow, the chainmail, and the helmet, and bought the swords. Back in my younger days, I did medieval re-enactment.

  • really? I am a colonial reenactor, 17th century henricus melitia. Great flight suit! you have out done yourself once again. so, when is the rebel soldier outfit coming? ;)

  • sick this looks awesome!!!!!!!! keep up the tutorials great great job!

  • Wow, that's a lot better than those stupid cheap children costumes that are made in China!

  • nice vid very informal and interesting 5/5
