Note most of the contractors are from the south-south, the Turbines were bought but could not be delivered to their various sites. For starters, Obasanjo spent $13billion to improve the Nigerian power sector; he only succeeded in renaming the parastatal from NEPA to PHCN and their service got worse. He bought Transcorp while he was president and now owns many companies such as Hilton hotel; his farm produce increased exponentially while he was president. OBJ was given a clean slate in 1999, if he led our democracy as anti-corrupt Nigeria would have been a better place, but he continued in the path of corruption.

I must say, i was quite impressedx with the way Obasanjo composed himself and answered back in this interview. he spoke with conviction, fair understanding of the situation at hand and confidence. I sort of shrudder when I hear people bash and insult a former president, it just disturbs my soul, the guy who went up to physically assault ObJ needs to be charged with treason. but we do have a long way to go as nigerians, we have the resources to suceed, we just need better management.

I was there, I lived there and this man OBASANJO who is being placed in a spot is the only person I would say made a difference. He is not perfect, but he made a huge difference. We've had worst.
