Well, let me think.. religious beliefs aside, the Books of the Bible ARE historically the oldest cannon of very accurate translation over at least 2,000 years with very little change through the end of the 19th century. People memorize everything from baseball stats to lottery numbers. How is having children memorizing the names of a historical book brainwashing?? IF you named the books incorrectly and insisted that they were the correct names...maybe that would be brainwashing.

Of all the others I found and listened to, this is the most catchy, easy to sing and appropriate books of the bible song. I learnt it in a day and my kids picked it up very quickly. I've also listened to songofsongs2 worship songs and I am blessed. It just goes to show that when you have a God given talent, you ought to share it :) Thank you and God bless you and your family. I loved this when I was young. This tune is the one I learned. There was one slight difference in rhythm of the words around the Old Testament book Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea and quite a few differences in New Testament books (too many to note) but other than that, the tune is the same.

The one I found was a midi. The lyrics only had OT books and I believe and only had the lyrics for the Old Testament which was how I believe the writer originally wrote it.  I adapted the New Testament books to the melody which apparently someone else did when they taught it to you. I think it's fairly obscure to people even now cause it's the only one on YouTube (since I last checked). God bless you and thanks for your comment.

Not really. The songs existed for the Old Testament but we adapted it to include the New Testament books too.

I didn't go to Sunday school or church growing up. My little exposure to "religion" caused me to reject Christianity until at 24 yrs old I realized Jesus' claim that He would answer whoever called on Him for salvation. I decided to put that to the test and in my bedroom simply said..."If you are real you have to show me now." I had a life changing experience. He's real!
