Oy... Anyone else annoyed w/ the obsession the Custom Shop seems to have w/ 5105 frets? I'm sure they're great for a lot of things, but I just like the tiny old vintage-style frets, myself:/ I don't want metal getting in my way when I'm playing, and yes, I can still bend just fine, thank you:P:D
@OliOsbourne Well there's a lot of history there, but i won't get into that. Basically It has a fatter neck and different pickup switching. Also the pickups are slightly different
@OliOsbourne Not really. They say the Big neck is key in the nocaster sound, but I really think it doesn't make a huge difference, other than playability
Thank you. BTW I have a quick irrelevant question. What's the difference between humbucker, humbucking, mini-buckers, and burstbucker pick ups? Which sounds the best? Sorry this is so irrelevant,
Ok, Humbuckers are basically 2 single coil pickups (stratpickups) put together. It makes a thicker, warmer sound, also canceling the hum that you get out of single coils. Burstbuckers are a type of humbucker made by gibson and are put in the standared and historic line of Les Pauls( you can also by them seperate).
Mini humbucker are smaller humbuckers, at have a bit more of a twang to them. there not quite as warm or thick. There more bitty than your average humbucker.
actualy they were orignaly called broadcasters but gretsch had something called the brodcaster(not sure if thats spelled right) so fender had to change the name and for a while it had no name so it was known as the nocaster
Is there any place to get a shirt like the one he's wearing?
