The truth is Jigsaw is a bastard who makes vague rules with a small time limit and deadly punishments.

That's not really what Jigsaw is about. He puts people in 'tests', do-or-die situations where they must elimate eachother or make a sacrifice in order to live, and thus making them wish they died and making them value their lives.
