Please someone look up the abbreviation AU: a lot of fanfiction works base their ideas on 'what ifs' and a major what if area is what if a favorite character died when he didn't in canon, or lived when he died in canon (Like Sirius from Harry Potter)

Unless he was murdered, struck down by illness, or accidentally walked off a cliff to his doom, Legolas would have outlived Aragorn by a wide margin. Legolas was only about 400 or so during the wars. Aragorn was a Dunedin, but would have died before Legolas, as it was shown he would die before Arwen. Nice song, tho.
