Yep, only the young & uneducated. Like my doctor, who was in the Navy for 8 years AFTER he completed med school, & only left because he started a family & wanted a stable life for his sons. People who join the US Military do it by choice & know more or less what they're getting into. A socialist government means everyone in this country has to live a socialist life. That's the difference--having a choice. But I guess having a choice is no longer important to the liberals of this country.

A doctor is stupid because they only went to school to study medicine. A history professor is stupid because they only went to school to study history. Oh & another thing, you COMPLETELY ignored my entire point about the military being a choice. If Obama succeeds in making the US socialist (communist), EVERY citizen will be forced to be socialist or leave. No one will have a choice. We haven't had the draft in almost 40 years, & as such everyone has had a choice in whether or not they go into the military or not. No one had to choose between being socialist or leaving the country forever. That's what makes the Army different from Obama.

@samburger077 dude were not becoming socialist and there will not be a draft. the only time is MAYBE if we go against someone like china or korea. and besides i feel it would be good to have most people join up then, it would focus more people add discipline and just be good for everyone.

In the US Army, the structure is in place because it is not like any other job and is made up of people making extreme sacrifice daily. What have you given up for your country recently?

Each Soldier has a different experience..some good some bad but the majority find it rewarding and beyond the commercials..I know I have.

You do realize the Army has a whole medical regiment full of doctors Nurses and Physician's Assistants right? And that the Army has the largest JAG division out of all the branches? (lawyers) I bet you didn't know that almost 20% of the enlisted in the Army have at least an associates degree?

have some respect for the men and women who serve, regardless of your outlook on things. it's a job someone has to do, be happy that we volunteer for this so there isn't a draft, and you end up on the battlefield. be happy that we are strong enough to prevent terrorists from taking over our country... keeping you safe.
