challenger ftw!!! im 18 and just bought a new 2009 challenger r/t hemi its so much fun to drive, i cant tell you how many ppl just practically break their necks watching as i pass by. driving the 6 speed manual is so much fun too
I can tell by the other cars this is old video. That is one sweet ride and very valuable today. The vid is actually very good and a time capsule. I hope you still have yours cause i (kick myself in the ass!) sold mine cheap.
My dream is to get a 1970 Dodge Challenger SE or R/T with a fuel-injected 440 Magnum or 426 Hemi, put on a supercharger sticking out of the hood (looks awesome), do a ton of machine work on the engine to get extra horse power, get an auto transmission with a slap stick shifter, put in anti-sway bar suspension, racing tires, custom rims, a good sound system, new air conditioning, new interior and seats, and paint it orange with the cabin top of it black or yellow with the cabin top of it black.
I hear ya there. You can thank the liberal democrats for the horrible times we live in. I hope ya have luck finding a job. I take it from the "CTDiesel" that your Ram is a Cummins. I have a 2000 Ram 3500 Quad Cab Dually that I bought new in 1999. It's got 119,000 miles on it and is now retired to a life of leisure and occasionally towing the race car trailer around.
ya all the politcians should get kicked out and resigned but it ont happen. ha i just have a gas 360 i wish i had a cummins it wasent in my budget. nice do you have any videos of your cummins?
Hey a 360 will work just fine! I don't have any videos of the ol' Ram but I guess maybe I could take one this summer hooked to the race car trailer. The Ram is red and the new trailer is gray. All my Ohio racing buddies tell me the new trailer makes the whole rig look like an Ohio State Buckeyes rig being red and gray. And me being from Michigan, that just don't go over too well! LOL!
Ummmmmmmm...he sold it in 1987. I believe it was for around $7,500 which was pretty darn good money for a Challenger T/A back then, especially being a color change. This car was originally EF8 Dark Green Metallic.
Dude, these cars were meant to be driven and driven hard. Did you catch that this video was shot in 1986? If there's one thing I can't stand is people that treat these things like they're pieces of art or something. Ya only live once and take it from someone who knows, the ownership experience of these cars is MUCH more enjoyable when you drive these cars like they were meant to be driven.
I was just the cameraman. The only Mopars I have are B-Body wing cars. The owner of the T/A shown in this video sold the car in 1987. Hey, you weren't even born yet!
Yeah it's funny watching some of this old footage. This one was shot in 1986 so none of the vehicles driving around on the roads is any newer than an '86. Dang, that was 22 years ago!!!
That's awesome! Us old guys have to pass the torch to the younger generation or else the hobby will just end up withering away.
The Challenger was owned by someone I know here local. He bought the car in 1986 and he sold it in 1987. I think the car is still around here in the Detroit Metro area though.
I had a TA in mid 80's, mine was Hemi Orange. Only the wealthy younger generation will ever be driving these kind of cars. As one of the older guys, today, they are far out of my reach price wise. My time with them was in the 80's when it didn't cost a fortune to buy one.
Deffintly looks Like an 80's unrestored Survivor by the Door Gaps Ect.... Clean car wish i could pull it out of the Computer.

The owner sold the car about a year after the video was shot. It was way too cheap by today's standards too. If I remember right, it was around $9K.

Since Dodge now has the "R/T classic" maybe a "T/A classic" should be a consideration. I bet it would a good sell.

Get a good job, work hard and you can get yourself the '70 Challenger of your dreams without having to hack your arm off with a butter knife.

HelpSaveTheEarth2051 3 years ago
The 340 Six Pack means it's a 340 cubic inch engine with a "Six Pack" induction setup -- three tw0-barrel carburetors.
OneBadSuperbird 3 years ago
Love the car, just need to work on your burnouts a little and make some more smoke.
death2dialup 3 years ago
LOL! The dude who owned the car and did the burnouts in the video sold the car over 20 years ago! This video was shot in 1986.

Never mind them, lol.

Back in the day, you could pick up old Mopars (and just about everything else) for next to nothing. Those days are LONG gone.
