  • Great videos! Thank you.

  • FUUCK dude, that Messerschmitt AG E sounds to be really high in quality........lisenting to the engine, that thing must have raped....

  • spit: supermarine IX?

  • Nice to see an original Bf109 E flying - such a rare bird these days .

    Great video!

  • Good to see they actually put the swastika on the tail!! Most of them don't for some reason. Without the Swazi, its just not German.

  • i love old warbirds, and this the best video out

  • Nice to see some Hurricanes too.

  • All that's missing is the sound of gunfire! Oh, & an Englishman climbing out of the Hurricane & saying "Jolly good show old chap, marvellous crate to fly, that! Anybody for a nice strong cup of tea then?" LOL!

  • the daimler's sound makes me think of a power drill...

  • Herrlicher Sound, beautiful sound and great vid! thx for uploading!

  • The purrr of the BF`s DB Engine.......beautiful

  • Awesome video thanks

  • Is the D-B Engine in this E model restored to the same specs as it was when this aircraft was in actual service?

    ~Thanks

  • @ayf43

As far as I know, yes. But an electric motor has been added to spin the flywheel for the inertial engine starter. I read some remarks from an engine restorer and they are not having any problems running them will 100LL avgas compared with wartime Luftwaffe fuel. I think they had some oil cooling issues with modern aviation engine oil, but they solved those problems too apparently.

  • Great video. Wonderful sound and beautiful camera work. You are to be congratulated! I have been to Pontiac and Bay City Michigan, is this air show anywhere near there? Does it happen every year? Keep up the good work and thank you!

  • @ArmandAllegro Thank you sir, the show is every year, google thunder over michigan, the ME109 and ME 262 will be their this year 2010

  • @DavidCheeseman You're welcome. Of course, google, I keep forgeting I live in the age of wonder and instant info. I have never seen a 109 up close and only seen a 262 on the ground. If I can't get across the border I hope you will make another of your first class videos.

  • @DavidCheeseman Please send me the link to see this !

  • If you hear her in Michigan, California or the Buckinghamshire valleys....still nothing beats the sound of a Spit on full chat :) Love that Merlin engine :)

  • Great post thanks Dave :) Just observed something I never caught on before...all the brit planes have round edges...even the hurri has a rounded engine cowling....bit like the 60's Jag E-Type is all rounded...everyone else's planes are all angular exept maybe the Yak9 or the P39 AeroCobra. I guess the brits love curves :)

  • Don't forgett the P-47, but I get what you mean :)

  • maybe its called aerodynamics :)

  • great machines 5/5 and cheers!

  • listen to the spitfire, it sounds like it loves being in the air, also love the 109, beautiful aircraft

  • thanks for sharing man!!!!

I was lucky enough to see a bf 109 in person in static display in Williams Arizona. And got to fly in a P 51 over the grand canyon a two yrs ago.

  • great!!

    5/5

  • So beautifull planes , i would love to hear them see flying and more to listen their engines

  • i cant help, but when i see spitfire i just feel like attacking it.Its same like for snakes or spiders lol really. It makes me alarmed and wanting to get on his six =)

  • yes... a spitfire got something magical XD i don't know why... it's a little like with the dolphins... (the animals ^^) maybe the design... or sound. but it's beautyful. But I also saw a Bf109 in real on a german airshow... almost the same feeling XD beautiful planes....

  • Is that an original BF109E?

  • Yes Sir it is the real deal

  • Nice one. I had no idea there were any 109's actually flying apart from the one that crashed on landing at Duxford.

  • Isn't allowed to replicas like this still have de swatika cross on the tail of the aircraft?

  • Swastikas are not allowed in/over Germany

  • A few years back, when I was in Canada, an American air show team brought a B-17 over for a show. They allowed people to ride in it for a small charge. It was amazing, although I couldn't imagine what it must have been like to be in these things in combat. Thousands of kilometers behind enemy lines, every gun for kilometers shooting at you, interceptors swarming on you with no where for you to hide. Would have been terrifying.

  • it's cool mate...we know what you meant.

  • Wow your age vindicates it and all i can say is, i envy you for being able to witness it but feel sorry for you knowing that you wouldve gone through horrors that no one could understand.

  • you seen that really live!? wie hies das Dorf?

  • hate the music

  • Dont watch it then

  • i always get goosebumps when i hear a spitfire at low altitude. beautiful.

  • omg i love that version of the BF-109

  • the airplanes sounding so beautifull

  • Awesome Aircraft! The best is the Sound of the Me-109!!

  • Daimler Benz V12. no surprise the sound is music;)

  • @Barbraossa85 Merlin sounds better to me.

  • Awesome! WW2 aircraft are my favorites at any air show.

  • yup exlellent video all plane this video is great :) thx the pilots :) and uploader

  • LOOL 2 Hurri vs 109 Hurri lost :) 109 rock G2 and G6 best ever AP in the world hmm SP sux so big so slow :( no turb SO 109 IS BEST WW2 Plane

  • but wat about the ME262??"THE FIRST JET AIRCRAFT OF WW2!"

  • Yep nice plane and heavy guns but Hmm fighters :) good and nice bomber killer .. take many / öö many allaid bombers down

  • But !! all ww2 plane is great

  • thats cuz hurri sux my fav is Spitfire mk-V

  • Hurricane responsible for 60% of kills

    in Battle of Britain

    -lest we forget

  • most experts believe Mustang, powered with Merlin Spitfire engines, ruled the skies at end of ww2

  • well, coz it's true. I've played many simulations and (I know it's only simulations) but when u fly the spitfire you get a different feeling. That's coz the spit's wings are different (U probably can see hw beautiful it is) the only thing the spit is lacking is that it consumes too much fuel. the Spits cannons are amazing whereas the mustang only has 30 cals ... or is it 50 cal...? whatever it is.

  • actually, if ur lookin for the better plane at the end of the war u have to look to the gfermans and the fw-190 and ta-152, they were outnumbered more than 100 to 1 in terms of numbers built but each one shot down many more planes than their american counterparts, the classic german stratagy, quality over quantity, it didnt work out that well but produced some amazing machines years ahead of their time.

  • True the Ta 152 and FW 190 and Me 262 where amazing aircraft...but they lacked the high grade materials and high grade pilots to make a difference...shame they had to be built but am glad there is a few examples still around so we can hear em and see em :)

  • @darkmossie633 keep in mind America supplied al Allies with 110 % octane fuel, Germany had to make its own fuel another invention, but it was 66%, After the war with 100% it crushed all.

  • do hurricanes have the naiper- sabre engine ?

  • Rolls Royce Merlin same as the spitfire matey

  • its easy to hear that it is a Daimler Benz v12 in that beauty!

  • i dont give a f uck about the planes i just want the engines

  • You know whatta' been really beautiful? Spitfires over the kremlin. Instead of the stupid war between two great nations, britain and Germany. Lancasters pulverizing communists. Now that wudda' been nice.

  • Have you ever heard about Operation Unthinkable? It was one of Churchill's mad ideas- war against Soviet Union right after II World War. He wanted to use American & British forces + surrendered German soldiers.

  • Operation Unthinkable, I NEVER heard of that. Is that just communist propaganda? Imagine if they didn't assassinate Patton! And Operation Unthinkable was commensed! I'd want to be there to see Stalin, Beria, Kaganovich and the whole filthy bunch dance from their nooses! Madly brilliant, too bad it never happened!

  • Churchill asked British Chiefs of Staff Committee if it would be possible to attack Soviets after victory over Germany. They said it would be impossible to win because of number of Soviet soldiers, planes and tanks in Europe.

  • I thought it was Monty who advocated it and Churchill was against it. As was the Americans. Had we Americans not been so pro communist. I believe we could have pulled it off. But our government was always pro bolshevik ever since Wilson. Thanks for the new information.

  • Yeah and then 10 years after ""you"" start war against communists :( What a waste if resources :( You could have beaten communism where it started. Instead it spread, and gave you bad publicity all over the world ever since N.A.M :(

A fitting end though, the Germans contributed to communism. And fell by communism.

  • Wall Street contributed to communism. Jacob Schiff of Kuhn and Leob financed the Bolshevik Revolution to bring down hated Christian Russia. And yes you're right. Many German Jews were key to the destruction of Russia by way of the disease called "bolshevism". And yes, we lost Korea and Viet Nam due to the home grown communist "stab in the back" here in America. The Abbie Hoffmans, Jerry Rubins, William Kuntslers,Leonard Weinglass's and the whole Anti-American lot helped bring down our nation.

  • Thanks for the Liberals too. Hanoi Jane of course. But why we end up here ? The clip is about the air show right.

  • Funny how that traitor, Hanoi Jane continues to laugh all of the way to the bank. Are liberals "communists lite"?

  • If U go extreme left, it's Communism. Luckily 4 her, under the protection of the liberal media's love, what she did was no matter at all.I bet younger people don't know a bit. Guess who own Hollywood?

  • A German: Karl MArx

  • General Patton knew what Stalin was all about N was able to get to Berlin

w/3rd Army long before the red army. Of course Ike stopped him. They also have very different view on the treatment of German POW's.

  • what's the song please ?

  • Saliva Musta been wrong.

    Kick ass intro EH?

  • I like the Hurricane. She's not a beauty but she has character!

  • I dont care what anyone says. The bf109E is a beautiful plane. Especially the yellow-nose, yellow-tail versions. With the Nazi symbol on the tail; makes it even more bad ass.

  • Very nice all aircrafts, the Spitfire, Hurricane, but I love the 109...

  • Quite true. Amongst the fighters, I guess it was just the sheer beauty of the Spitfire that gave it the glamour. Planes like the Hurricane and even the FW-190 were never given due recognition...because they were not worthy candidates in the "beauty constest" of WWII.

  • i tihnk the 190 is fucking beautiful lol!

  • Butcher Bird Rocks! They look great.

  • Fantastic Hurricanes !

  • Oh. Sorry. So, what problems did it have?

  • Id like to see db601 or later on 140 octane, coulda been a world beater.

  • I can't believe you Patrick. You rub it in that you got to see an ME109 in person. I wanted to go to the WWII weekend over in Reading, but nooo, my mom and dad coudn't get the tickets. Man, I really wanted to go!

  • Marseille's 109 had problems, she didn't show up at Reading this year. I talked to the guy that owns her, and he said she will try again next year.

  • There's no better sounding engine than a Rolls Royce Merlin! Beautiful.

  • That Benz engine sounds sweet, the way the blower whistles just screams "POWER!!"

  • I can't wait till this years!!

The Blue angels are going to be there!!

  • Nice hurricanes too

  • There two Bf-109 G10 flying Germany. One belongs to the Messerschmitt Foundation the other is privately owned. :)

  • i love that one o nine

  • its one of only 2 original Bf-109E's (with the original DB-601 engine) in existance that are flyable. Both 109E4's were restored in the USA and both still reside in the USA. One is owned by Paul Allen (I think its in washington state) and I dunno who owns the other.

  • Ed Russell is the owner of this 109, and it is in Ontario Canada

  • The Bf109E-7 that is based in Santa Monica had its airframe restored in the UK by Craig Charleston of Colchester, it's engine was rebuilt in the USA & final assembly/instrumentation was carried out in the USA. Test flying was performed by UK pilot Charlie Brown who at that time was the most current 109 pilot in the world having flown "Black 6", an original G model negligently written off a few years previously, pilot error, Charlie Brown had refused to fly it that day.

  • Why did he refuse? The news at the time stated the their were concerns about its fitness to reamin flying .....was this true?

  • No, it could have flown again following the rebuild. The crash was caused by the pilot setting his radiator cooling flaps incorrectly, he mistook the boiling coolant vapour for smoke and made an abbreviated landing circuit, too abbreviated, he landed long, bounced over a motorway and broke the aircrafts back. Black 6 is currently airworthy although the MOD states that it is too valuable to risk flying again. I forgot the reason CB refused to fly Black 6 on the day of the crash.

  • Oh wow, living in the UK I've seen Hurricanes flying in airshows here, but I didn't know there were any flying the US. Great to see the 109 too - isn't this the only one flying? Nice vid - thanks.

  • excellent video, i was there on sunday it was great to see a 109 fly in person
