  • I wanna hear the sound

  • 10:35 WTF Boom!

  • in god we trust? sorry but if there is a god, he left

  • operation "up shot nut hole"

  • Best that we as beings of this world keep such weapons locked up and off limits so that we do not blow ourselves up by accident. We ought to think of the future offspring, and how we can lessen our hatred towards one another.

  • Those boys are permanent unvles

  • just a six feet in height and 2 feet in length could destroy anything in a mile or more?!

    Just WOW

  • "Take cover when the nuke is coming at you"

Oh okay these sandbags look sturdy and they will cut gamma radiation by fifty percent!

Um...you can go behind the sandbags and I'm going to into the fallout shelter filled with hot chicks and watch your ass burn.

  • @shamiking1

if yer anti-american, who do you support? iran, russia or china?

  • Baconstrips and baconstrips and baconstrips and baconstrips and baconstriiiiiips.

  • What was the original target audience for these films?

  • They leveled cities as large as the island nation of st.Lucia, yet today the smallest ones are up to 66 times larger, things like the czar bomb are almost common place now...

  • This is nothing compaired to the nukes of today.

  • Thank Einstein's e mc2 for this, lol

  • if u want to know how many nukes the us has blow up. ( without them revieling the info.) look at the Nevada Test Site on Google maps and count the craters. ( there are hundreds.)

  • @TheFunkyninja14 Untill 1998 there were 2048 nuclear detonations in the world. Most of them are: US 1032, and the Soviet Union: 715 .

  • @Apokalipsz42 where did you get that information?

  • @italianbroker1 Wikipedia..

  • fuck this shit, devostation is not a answer, they want to kill you as in your part of all in the phrase we'll kill you all

  • American Involvement in Wars: US vs. Great Britain(1812-15) Texas vs. Mexico(1836) US vs. Mexico(1846-48) U.S. Civil War(1861) US vs. Spain(1898) world war 1 world war 2-Nuclear attacks(1945) Korean War(1950-53) Vietnam War(1960-75) US vs. Cuba(1961) US vs. Panama(1989) Intervention in Bosnia and Herzegovina(1995-96) invasion of Afghanistan(2001) invasion of Iraq (2003) US is a big threat to peace of this planet. Stand unite against US policies !
  • And after watching this. I can't beleive such beautiful and stpendous things happen to such a Weapon. An Ice cap may form on the top of Gray and White 5+mile high cloud while the cloud itself being held over a large un-rooted stem of dust is around 3+ miles in diameter.

    And It's a Weapon :(

  • This is when being called a rocket scientist was a complement.

  • "if you think that's powerful? you should see my farts...."

    these explosions are just epic

  • This shit is the Shit!!!!

  • i am absolutely fascinated by these films, totally totally mesmerised, ive always liked them.

  • i cant believe i watched the whole thing

  • hey man, love the videos!! watched almost all of them!! BOOM!! love it. where do we get the full length footage of all the different tests, I mean there has got to be hundreds of hours of this stuff in full. Hardtack Oak shot start to finish, the burst then the fireball rising into the stratosphere!! That would be awesome!! where is the full length footage?

  • 05:53, absolutely fucking dangerous. Humans shouldnt even have this kind of technology

  • It is sad that wars have come to this, abusing mother nature. Now that other countries are learning of this, what now? Is everyone going to have to live underground when world wars break out??

  • the hypocrisy of this awful country astounds me. How dare they threaten my existence or even that of my neighbours with their own blinkered self interests is beyond understanding. The world doesn't belong to them to pollute & poison.

  • say what you like about the yanks but Id rather be their Alli than their enemy :/

  • Freaking long video wachted it all...

  • And the only other thing nuclear energy can do is boil water.

  • Yeah that's interesting and all but what about super mutants?

  • haha at 5:50

  • If there wasn't humans we wouldn't be able to see this. Born+create=kill-no people=no purpose

  • with the guyt at 12:37 recieve radiation?

  • Area 51?

  • @selearemus look to the left of area 51 and you'll find a huge nuke test site with the biggest craters i've ever seen

  • this is like the longest frickin video evar!

  • Here's what they should have done. Thrown parties at minimum safe distance with large stocks of food and alcohol to determine if large intake of processed food and booze can help prevent the effects of radiation exposure. Those minimum safe distance parties would have been biblical.

  • at 1:40 what are those lines coming up from the earth?

  • @ESPguitarist1969 the put rocket engines on the ground and shot them up in the air. The lines are the exhaust from the rockets. They could learn more about the bomb by looking at how the shockwaves moved and shaped the lines.

  • @ESPguitarist1969 Those are the trails of rockets fired just before the blast in order to visualize the movement of the air as the shockwave passes through.

  • OMG the building that explodes shortly after 5:54 is completely totaled.

  • what about conservation of mass?

  • @iluvbuckethead is not applicable in all cases. As Einstein proved, energy can be converted to mass and mass can be converted to energy, modeled by his equation e=mc^2.

  • @jpourkav what is a case where we convert energy into mass? Fusion maybe? honest question your comment got me thinking

  • "Sir, I do have one question. What exactly is this particular orchestral piece going to be used for? I can't help but notice the comments on the sheet music that say "Blast Starts Here", "Blinding Flash" and things like that."

    "It's for...a...hot air balloon...training video."

"I see...and why did we have to come out to the middle of the desert to record this?"

    "It's...fun."

    "Oh."

  • hello nice weather we're having! (paranoid eyes darting 'round)

  • Odd to think the narrator is Ray Walston, who played "My Favorite Martian" on television, among other roles. He must have had a very high security clearance to narrate these films.

  • @RickMHobson How do you know it's Ray Walston? I agree that it does sound like him, but that's not proof that it is him.

  • @RickMHobson How do you know this was Ray Walston narrating?

  • What's edited out are the effects on test animals.

  • Very good video. Too bad that it is so heavily censored. =/

  • which part?

  • I know right? Man if only I had the complete box setof un "sanatized" versons of these vids plus a nice helping of popcorn with some soda and I'd be like a pig in shit.

  • 20kt, 50 feet underground? That must have kicked up a helluva lot of fallout.

  • it's never occur to 'em, in those days

  • Very nice upload. That finally explained to me why it always looked like that house got hit by two blast waves.

  • Fascinating!

  • It's too bad the juicy parts had been blacked out at t+ 30:20

  • i cant believe how powerful that is.

  • @dgardner93 It freaking rips apart the atoms around!!!

  • Great film, unfortunatly in bad quality...not to talk about the fact it is extremely heavy censored to preserve classified informations.

Of course, I fully understand that we cannot say too many details about nuclear weapons, especially after 9/11.

But seeing a film such as "Commander's report on Operation Castle" (declassified video #13) makes me just a little *mad*...

    Anyway, thanks for uploading!

  • @Pirlinetor Actually, a surprising amount of information on the design and mechanisms of nuclear weapons is public knowledge. The highly classified stuff is precise implementation details and the knowledge required to figure them out(e.g. the equation of state for plutonium, the number of neutrons released in fission as a function of the energy of incomming neutrons and so on).
