Best that we as beings of this world keep such weapons locked up and off limits so that we do not blow ourselves up by accident. We ought to think of the future offspring, and how we can lessen our hatred towards one another.
They leveled cities as large as the island nation of st.Lucia, yet today the smallest ones are up to 66 times larger, things like the czar bomb are almost common place now...
if u want to know how many nukes the us has blow up. ( without them revieling the info.) look at the Nevada Test Site on Google maps and count the craters. ( there are hundreds.)

And after watching this. I can't beleive such beautiful and stpendous things happen to such a Weapon. An Ice cap may form on the top of Gray and White 5+mile high cloud while the cloud itself being held over a large un-rooted stem of dust is around 3+ miles in diameter.
hey man, love the videos!! watched almost all of them!! BOOM!! love it. where do we get the full length footage of all the different tests, I mean there has got to be hundreds of hours of this stuff in full. Hardtack Oak shot start to finish, the burst then the fireball rising into the stratosphere!! That would be awesome!! where is the full length footage?
It is sad that wars have come to this, abusing mother nature. Now that other countries are learning of this, what now? Is everyone going to have to live underground when world wars break out??
the hypocrisy of this awful country astounds me. How dare they threaten my existence or even that of my neighbours with their own blinkered self interests is beyond understanding. The world doesn't belong to them to pollute & poison.
Here's what they should have done. Thrown parties at minimum safe distance with large stocks of food and alcohol to determine if large intake of processed food and booze can help prevent the effects of radiation exposure. Those minimum safe distance parties would have been biblical.
@ESPguitarist1969 the put rocket engines on the ground and shot them up in the air. The lines are the exhaust from the rockets. They could learn more about the bomb by looking at how the shockwaves moved and shaped the lines.
@ESPguitarist1969 Those are the trails of rockets fired just before the blast in order to visualize the movement of the air as the shockwave passes through.
@iluvbuckethead is not applicable in all cases. As Einstein proved, energy can be converted to mass and mass can be converted to energy, modeled by his equation e=mc^2.

@Pirlinetor Actually, a surprising amount of information on the design and mechanisms of nuclear weapons is public knowledge. The highly classified stuff is precise implementation details and the knowledge required to figure them out(e.g. the equation of state for plutonium, the number of neutrons released in fission as a function of the energy of incomming neutrons and so on).

Great film, unfortunatly in bad quality...not to talk about the fact it is extremely heavy censored to preserve classified informations.
Of course, I fully understand that we cannot say too many details about nuclear weapons, especially after 9/11.
But seeing a film such as "Commander's report on Operation Castle" (declassified video #13) makes me just a little *mad*...
Anyway, thanks for uploading!
